My pedicures always seem to last longer when I go to EGR Nails . No chipping . I highly recommend them.

I went in and asked for a full set with a French manicure. Quickly noticed how unorganized and dusty the building was. He proceeds to cut my pinky within the first 10 seconds of the service, and multiple other abrasions on my other fingers while filing down. And then simply just puts a nail extension and a clear coat, and tried to send me off acting as if that was a French manicure. I asked at least for some paint but it doesn't even cover my natural nail and is incredibly uneven. I've been to countless salons and this was BY FAR the worst nail service I've ever had. read more

I'm being generous by giving them a two star. I went for a mani pedi with the bridal party for my sister's wedding. The staff rushed through every single person and treated us likewise. After my sister had her manicure and pedicure finished they tried to tell her to leave the building..... when she is the one we were celebrating. Amy (staff) did an amazing job on my toes she delicately scrubbed my heels and my nail polish looks perfect. If you go, ask for Amy she is great! Once I finished with my pedicure I went on to manicure and I had a VERY irritable woman that did not care what My nails looked like, she had one goal and that was to get her job done and get me to leave immediately. The shape of my nails are not similar to one another and the polish looks horribly sloppy and bumpy. I could have done a better job doing my own nails, as I pay attention to detail. Lastly, my sister confronted them about their pedicure prices, as they were posted up in the salon as a cheaper price, yet they were stating a higher price at checkout. False advertising is very unprofessional. Not very pleased with the experience nor is this place of quality to me. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

After going here over 15 times over 2 + years, I can definitely say they have consistently great customer service and pedicure and manicures. Sometimes the finished product depends on which nail tech you get (luck of the draw!) or who you like to work with/I have found if you get a chip and tell them or if you don't like something they did style wise if you tell them they try to make it right (even if you return a few days later). The couple who owns the place are very kind and -I find at least-run the place with a spirit of generosity and family values and purpose. I will miss this place when I move out of the area this fall! The biggest thing is the positive attitude they have and that they are able to make repeat customers regulars by making you feel very comfortable here! Foot scrub (sugar scrub) is no extra cost with a pedicure! On weekends it can be crowded (especially if a wedding party is there in the AM. Depending on your luck, your wait can be as short as 15 min or as long as an hour or two, so it's always good to call ahead to ask about waits and make an appointment - better to either make an appt a few hours ahead, or be really flexible with your start time. I enjoy the community atmosphere when you become a regular (or even a semi regular !) here and go at non busy times. Before finding this place I never had semi-regularly gone to a nail salon before. I've noticed they also tend to have many gentleman regulars (especially pedicures) which I think speaks to how they treat everyone very well. read more

I've been coming to EGR nails for nearly a year now, and they are simply fantastic! SO accommodating with my hectic schedule, and so very kind. I always leave with a perfect set of acrylic nails that I get complimented on constantly. Aaron and his wife are simply the sweetest, and Kim does an AMAZING job. I recently moved out of the area, but I happily make the trek back into town just for them knowing that I will receive excellent service. 10/10 would recommend! read more

This was the worst nail appointment experience I've had in a long time. Staff doesn't follow your wishes and makes bad looking nails! I asked for a thin french nail design and what they gave me was a clipped of fake nail that served as the french and was covering half my nail. Additionally the form looked like shovels and was super thick. The employees do not even try to make your result clean, in the end the nail was sticking to my finger for 2 days straight. Instead of apologizing the women then claimed it were a "misunderstanding" when I showed her a clear picture of what I wanted and explained during her work what I did not like. Not only do they mess up your nails, they also don't care about your experience as a customer. Terrible experience. Do not go here. read more

The worst manicure I've ever gotten. I walked out with nail polish all over my skin and nicks on each painted nail. He also did a lousy job filing and buffering, by the end of the day I had cracks on several nails because the edges got caught on my clothing. I went back to the salon the same day to ask for my money back, but they were extremely defensive and would only refund me half of what I paid for. Take a look at the pictures posted. It was just a terrible experience from start to finish. I had to wait probably 20 minutes to be seen because they were only two people working. But the worst part is that they did such a terrible job! There were edges and corners of my nail bed that she just didn't seem to care to get to. She kept going over the same spot and not paying any attention to making sure that the entire nail was covered. When I put my hands under the dryer, she came back maybe seven minutes later and said that everything was dry and sprayed my nails with the aerosol spray. But then when I went to reach my hand into my pocket, it smudged pretty badly. I had her fix it, but then I noticed that it was still not a beautifully done polished job. I had to go to a different nail salon to get them to completely take it all off and give me a new manicure! Even the lotion they used was very poor quality and left my hands feeling dry.I just can't recommend this place. read more

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon. I couldn't relax the entire time in fear I would be cut with the dull, unsanitary tools of the manicurist, which I'm not even sure she should be called. The place was a dirty mess, piles of trash on the floor, just totally gross. She gave me a pedicure with a sort of "rock massage" which were two black pieces of rubber passed back and forth between clients, dipped in the pedi water to be "cleaned" then used on the next. As this was happening, I had polish remover on my nails to remove the gel for over an hour. She eventually pulled them off and my nails were like mush. They were burning in pain from the acetone. She then proceeded to scrape The remains of my gel manicure off with HER NAILS. HER OWN NAILS. She didn't soak my fingers in water, or use any sort of tools, she just went to town with her own fingernails on mine. I was wincing in pain and seriously in total shock. She then whipped out her dirty and dull tools and started cutting all around my fingers leaving them a total bloody mess. She filed down to the quick, and I left with raw, tender, bloody stubs. There's nail polish smeared everywhere and already chipping. This place should be shut down immediately. Save your money!! And the health of your nails. read more

this could be a biased review because my friend and i had such a hard time finding a place to get our nails done in grand rapids! we called around a bunch of places close to where we were and many said we had to have a reservation because they expected to be busy or it would be twenty-five dollars for a basic manicure. we just wanted to do something we normally wouldn't do so we weren't into paying that much. finally egr nails fulfilled our criteria! it was close, cheap ($12 before tip), and we got great manicures! there was a tiny bit of a wait and both of our people were super nice and did a great job! we also saw a woman there who seemed to be a regular and got some kind of touch up or additional service and she tried to pay for it (which told me it wasn't a mistake) but they told her it wasn't necessary because she had just been there a few days ago. i hardly ever get my nails done, maybe only a handful of times in my life, but i wish i could be a regular here! read more

Great place & great prices. My friend and I went in for manicures and pedicures on a Sat. morning right when thy opened. There was no wait. This establishment was VERY clean. One employee in particular was cleaning the whole time we were there. She was wiping off chairs & counters & whatever else she thought needed attention. The atmosphere and prices were fantastic! I highly recommend this place. It started to get busier by the time we were leaving, so go early in the morning on the weekend if you don't want to wait. read more

In town for a conference and decided I was overdue for a mani/pedi. Siri helped me find EGR Nails after I requested "nail salons nearby" (Its about about 4 miles from Amway Grand). Everyone was friendly and accommodating from the first call to ask if they could fit me in. Lots of regulars were there and easy to see why. Took care with my hands and feet and polish job was very good. It's not fancy, but it's high value. Friendly professional attentive service at a good price is not always easy to find. The staff are very friendly but this was probably one of the worst shellac manicures I've ever gotten. They painted over my cuticle which caused the shellac to start chipping. The shellac paint was applied very thin and I had chipped nails after 3 days. read more

Very nice salon overall. I stopped in Saturday evening and there was a bit of a wait, and they assured me it wouldn't be long, and checked up on me during the wait. Nails turned out great and I ended up getting a pedicure too. Everyone was very friendly and said if I had any chips in the next two weeks to stop in to get them fixed for free. It's not a super fancy place, but they were quick, affordable and friendly. read more

I wish I knew the names of the techs who did my friend and I's nails! Mine was nice, quiet and did a good job on my mani and pedi a bit uneven clear coat on a couple toes but you can hardly tell. The girl who did my friends nails was great she was younger and chatted with us and was very helpful with helping us pick colors and knowing which had been popular with customers that she had done and what shapes worked best, very helpful and would love to go to her again. Inexpensive mani pedi we got there ten minutes after they opened on Saturday and two people were getting shellac manis we just had to wait 15 minutes or so which was fine since I was so indecisive about colors not a fancy salon but convenient, clean, friendly, and does a nice job especially with shaping. read more

Got a shellac manicure done only 2 days ago and 3 of my nails have already chipped. I've had bad experiences here before involving extremely long waits even with an appointment but decided to come here the other day because this place was the only nail place close to me open past 6 and am very disappointed. One shellac manicure was $28 plus a $3 tip, extremely over priced in my opinion especially considering 2 days later 3 of my nails have chipped. read more

I will never go anywhere other than East GR Nails & Spa! They are so sweet and do a fantastic job. The managers, Aaron & Min are delightful and really care about their clients. If your nails get messed up for some reason within a reasonable period of time [I think it's two weeks] you can stop in and they will fix them for free. They provide beverages and snacks and are great with kids. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about this place. I just love everything about it! Highly recommend! read more

I've been a regular customer here for years! I've tried a number of other Grand Rapids nail salons - these folks consistently do the best (and often at a lower price). Their shellac manicures always last 2+ weeks. The service is friendly and welcoming. And, they give great foot massages. Enjoy! read more

Wish I could give no stars. I get my nails done all the time, I have never had a experience this bad. First off the lady was rude, gave me the wrong paint color. Next she made my nails lopsided and uneven. It was so bad I had to ask for refund. Which the money that they gave me (half of what I payed) is going right back to getting these off and correct nails on. I never wrote one of these reviews before but I wanted to warn people, its a horrible salon. Please save your money and not go to this salon. read more

Very disappointed with my visit this week. Only needed an acrylic fill and new coat of gel polish. Took almost 2 hours- the gel was bubbled on multiple nails and nails were not even fully coated. I tried let the specialist know and she only grudgingly added more top coat, which did not fix the problem. The worst part is that it's only day 2 and the gel is already peeling off! Hoping it was just a bad day, but I still will not be going back. read more

Normally my experience at this salon is great. It is highly suggested to make an appointment. On this day just figured I'd pop in for a pedicure at about 10:30 AM. I was actually turned away because of a 13 person bridal party had took over the whole salon. SMH.... Was told I'd have to wait till 12:30 at the earliest for any service. This was my first time at EGR Nails & Spa, and the worst experience in a nail salon that I have ever had. The lady in charge told another young lady to start a pedicure bath. She did not get up and do it, so the lady in charge did it. When the lady that was told to do my nails finally came over, she excused away her behavior with the excuse that she's tired and had back pain. Before she even finished she asked if I wanted to pay, I paid and she basically was done with me, but my feet were not done. Two ladies came in to get a mani-pedi and she stopped doing my service and did the both of those ladies and got them in and out of there. She only wanted to put one coat of polish on me and send me on my way. After watching people come in and get their services done and I'm still sitting there, I finished my own polish and dried them and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone, they should not be allowed to make people's money and not deliver the service that the advertise. read more
