We live in North Stamford and have used Ehrlich for years. The technician we have now, LaToya is great. She is responsive and makes suggestions on how to mitigate problems with pest. She recommended keeping ground covering at least 12 inches away from the foundation and that has helped to minmize crickets. read more

This company is completely unreliable. Initially utilized their services in early July for an ant problem. They came out the very next day with a follow up appointment for August 7th at 9:30 a.m. At 11:00 a.m. still a no show then a phone call asking to reschedule which I did for this morning at 8:30 a.m. No show again and no call. No problems when the company was by another name and the young energetic representative would come and take care of my house - but avoid these people. Called for large fuzzy bees that were outside my porch and saw holes on the side where they had "drilled in" . Their representative (an not as energetic person that seemed nearly as interested in what he was doing - but nice) made a treatment for $243, treated the problem, and alas we had a bigger swarm than before in a couple of weeks. I called back and they sent the same guy. He treated (only part of the home) and we still have bees. Now they tell me the 45-day recall time has expired but they NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM. Also, the "specialist" i spoke to that made this call said that they were a different kind of bee and that's not what I called them for. MESSAGE TO EHRLICH PHONE REPRESENTATIVE SPECIALIST PERSON at 845-692-2211 billing address 254 Wisner Ave, Middletown, NY 10940-2408 : Do business in good faith people! You're splitting hairs. You were called to take care of a "bee" problem and didn't do it. If your rep missed a type of bee ALSO nesting on the property that is his misstep. Again, go with the customer - you're splitting hairs - do business reasonably and in good faith. Now I must call another pest company. Dang. read more

Bliss was fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable, effective. I stuck with Ehrlich for a few years and it was a completely different organization. Corporate and impersonal. More importantly completely ineffective. I paid them and I'm not sure what they sprayed or looked at when they walked through my house but it was a waste of my time and money read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Three weeks ago a specialist was scheduled to come to my house to remove a white faced hornets nest that was massive in a shednoutsode of my house. Not only did the specialist never show up but I was never notified that he did not come. When I called to verify that the service was complete I was told it had been, only to find out a week later when the hornets were still alive and active that the specialist never showed up. I called back to complain and was told by a rep that it was their mistake and that a specialist actually did not show up. I had to speak with multiple people to get this rectified. If I had knocked down the nest like I was instructed to, I could have ended up in the hospital. Luckily a specialist was sent out immediately the next day to take care of the nest but they still charged a hefty price. It wasy slightly discounted but definitely not enough for what we went through. We went through with service because we were desperate. I do not recommend this company. They also do not send you a service confirmation unless you call heir customer service dept and ask. His should be an automatic confirmation!! read more

I have only had positive experiences with this company. The man who comes to my house has always been respectful, kind and has totally gotten rid of all the mice and bugs. He arrives on time and is efficient. Any time I have called their office they send someone fairly quickly. I am very happy with the great results. read more

I had this company from 3 iterations ago (even before they were Bliss. The consistency is nil any longer and there is no one person to talk to re: issues. I am not waiting for any service for 3 hours, etc. They would give me an arbitrary day to do service (via email). Nobody even cared to investigate why I dropped them after 20 years of service. SAD You now respond with wanting to know 'the details... Sorry, too late! As you make yourself 'appear' concerned to the public, but, you could not care LESS at the time. Bliss handled our termite issue very well, however, since Ehrlich took over the business I've had two years of difficulty with their office management. It took three calls and two faxes to direct their attention to a bill address error after they were corrected a year earlier and they failed to provide me with a Status Report after the Inspection. Reaching them on the telephone took 4 attempts after being placed on hold three times. I sent two faxes which eventually caught their attention, yet after paying the invoice they sent another invoice. read more

I was thoroughly disappointed with the service I received. I had never utilized a pest control service prior to this, so didn't quite know what to expect. However, Ehrlich/Bliss Pest in Norwalk, CT, did exactly what I could have done myself - minus a few pumps of mouse deterrent spray around the perimeter of the house. I was so shocked to see that the fellow who came out to "control our pests" set down a few glue traps to try to eliminate some bugs in the pantry, and set out a few typical mouse traps to try to eliminate mice. Then I was told that in order for this to "work effectively"- I needed to sign onto payments for monthly followups. I thought that for over $400 for the initial fee for the first time visit, we'd be having some major products/actions taken that we could not obtain or do ourselves, in order to get rid of these pests. Ontop of this frustration, we then were given bills multiple times as if we'd signed up for the monthly "followup services" -- even after about 4 conversations with this company- stating that we explicitly did not want followup services. Overall, probably the worst $400 I've ever spent. One thing I will say, however, is that the fellow who came out to provide services was very kind and helpful- it's just that the overall system in place-- the lack of effective services and the exorbitant cost- was not at all worth it. read more
