They had to eventually call the tire store next door who recommended they remove the tire and bring it over for a new valve stem. Apparently, the valve stem had been corroded--which is reasonable since there are over 200k on my Tundra. I wasn't happy having to sit there for almost two hours while they struggled to fix the tire, brought it next door, put it back on the truck and finally got me on my way. This was supposed to be a quick oil change during my lunch hour. So, I wasn't happy with the situation but the two guys working there were very professional about the service. It wasn't their fault that the valve stem was corroded and broke. In the end, they didn't even charge me for the repair or the new stem and, in fact, they gave me a 15% DISCOUNT because the whole affair had taken so long!!! THIS IS WHAT GOOD SERVICE LOOKS LIKE. I don't write reviews often but it is so rare to get good service now-a-days that I feel obligated in this case. Great job guys! Keep up the good work--and THANK YOU AGAIN for being willing to work during the COVID19 epidemic.

They did a free inspection and found a few issues I was already aware of and a few I was not. I appreciated both the honesty and thoroughness with which I was treated. There were a couple of hiccups but Eli worked those out. Chris the mechanic was a wonder and my car was even better than I expected. The price turned out to be lower than quoted! I have never had that happen before. It was a wonderful surprise. Overall I would recommend Matt's and will be returning in the future for more excellent work! Many thanks to Eli, Chris, and Xavier. They sold us all 4 for $250 because their testing device could not identify which sensor was bad. We went to Matt's for the install and they said they want to test the system themselves for a diagnosis. My first thought was, "ya, RIGHT"! But, they must have better equipment because they identified the PCV valve as the problem. So, $40 and one hour later we were on the road with the "Check Engine" light off, no sputtering and normal MPG. It was worth the $20 tip! I do not give endorsements for folks just doing their job. But, Matt's Auto Service Center has earned the positive recognition. Their work gets results.

Just 2 miles of Hinckley, MN (on Hwy 35) our wipers hit each other and the driver's side (of course) wiper got caught and bent up and looked like a triangle, not a blade. 2 miles later we turned off the highway to look for a wiper. When my hubby spotted Slim's, he decided he'd rather pay to get a new one installed than buy one & try to get it on himself (in the wind/wet snow) & said he'd probably be fighting with it for a while. We pulled into Slims and one fo the guys took a look at it, looked at their stock for wipers & found he didn't have the right size. He called Napa and had the correct size delivered in less than 5 minutes. He installed it and double checked the wiper action for both. Seeing that the other one was running too close, he also adjusted that one. $20.00 later with great service and a quality wiper, we were on the road in less than 20 minutes total. Was impressed enough that I decided to write up a review the same day. Thanks to the guys at Slim's Service. PS. We got some gas too, even though we still had 2/3 of a tank. We had no problem with the gas running slow or the pumping action. I used to have a car that had that problem but it was the angle of the piping in the car that lead to the gas tank & let the gas bubble. That happened at many stations. Our Kia doesn't have that problem at all.
