The chickens are laying, so hustle to the market early so you can snatch yours up (if the Pleasantville Farmers' Market is any indication, the eggs sell out fast!). I recently tried one of their chickens when I realized they bring them FRESH to the market. They are pricey, but they are fresh, beautiful, and taste unbelievable-- unlike any chicken I've ever eaten. Anyway, their farming methods are what they refer to as "biodynamic," (organic, sustainable, and all that good stuff!) and you can find out more if you look at their website. Michael Pollan would approve. The animals are humanely raised and treated well-- the proof is in the pudding.

We ran into a bit of a snag when the butcher had accidentally with-held one of our 3 boxes of beef. It took a while to straighten it out, but in the end Cecille drove a few hours to our doorstep to deliver it along with some money back and a sincere apology. This is one of those instances where the handling of the problem made the business look better than if there weren't one to begin with. The only other small issue you may look out for is that some of the packages had a little moisture int them. Double sealing them and using them first is our plan. We're hoping that they go Certified Organic by next year for our next order as they said they are hoping to do. After all was said and done we are happy customers!

Every year we always get a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from this farm. We have a cabin in the woods and must shower it with the lovely mums, annuals, and succulents! Everyone who works here is very kind, welcoming and generous. The HUGE hanging flowers usually $50-60 at Lowe's or Home Depot are only $35 here! The succulents are about $5.50 and the pots are $1-10 dollars based on size! I cannot rave enough about this farm and this community. We absolutely love it here for the past 11 years!

This farm was supposedly open from 10-5pm, but no one in sight. Few random produce sitting on a…read moreshelf outside; very sparse. Not to mention there were had no clue who to pay and how one would get change back if they didn't have small bills. There was a side path right next to the farm where some cars were parked, so I thought maybe the path would lead me to another larger part of the farm down the hill and maybe that's the part that is open. I drive down and realized this was not open to the public. Still quite confused, but tried finding my way out with the minimal service I had. Before I knew it, this old lady comes up to my window and tells me this is private property. I acknowledged it and explained I'm trying to map my way out but with limited service. She was rude and unpleasant, responded with "you could turn right back around because you're trespassing." I told her I thought this was another portion of the farm that was open since the stall uphill didn't appear open. She gave a dirty look and told me to leave. Upon going back up and still trying to map my way to a different farmer's market is ACTUALLY open, these 2 girls came and also quite confused as to whom to make payments to for the tomatoes they picked up. They eventually left and didn't buy anything. So, clearly everyone is confused with the "Open 10-5pm" sign. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone.

Their stand is small and sometimes it is staffed, sometimes it is on the honor system (which I have heard doesn't always work well for the Bulich's). They only sell what they grow and you can see the farm right there behind the stand. Ron, the owner is super nice and helpful. His prices are the best and the veg & fruits are amazing! I've also seen them at local markets including Coxsackie, Troy and Delmar - always the best prices there too. The review from Jennifer J. in 2020 confuses me since I know that the stand never opens until June during a regular year, and def. during the covid outbreak it was closed then as were the markets. Maybe she confused them with another farm or was one of those disgruntled people who got caught not honoring the honor system at one time.

A lot of parking and sitting areas. I have been wanting to get there to try fresh dumplings from a family owned company called two little dumplings. There were a good amount of vendors and food options. We walked around all the vendors before finally finding the one we went for. It had the longest line of people and the wait was so worth it. We split that days special of chicken and Thai basil dumplings. They packed a lot of flavor in every bite - zesty (lime), spicy (ginger, garlic, black pepper), herby (Thai basil), and umami (fish sauce)! There was peanut sauce with hot chili oil, scallions and friend onions. Loved the dumplings but would go with the tradition sauce next time. There were a lot of other great vendors and we ended up also getting spicy rosemary nuts that were so good. Glad we took the drive and will definitely be back for other goodies. They also sell take home frozen dumplings that they post in their facebook page weekly.

After sadly discontinuing it in our usual purchases for a while, we decided to give it a try again. I spent an hour walking around the farm enjoying the views of the pond, the farm houses, and the animals. Before I left I stopped by the maple store that had all things maple (and some other non maple things too). It's a cash only honor system, where you log what you buy in the book.
