The beer that Steve and I had was the Red Band which is a lager which I enjoy the majority of the time. Flavors to find with hopefully fun involved are malty, sweet (a natural sweetness probably from the flaked corn involved), hoppy, crisp and clean in the finish. Typical for this beer type it was light bodied also. Swag was indeed purchased here as I knew the likelihood of this happening was high and I got a very nifty t-shirt from the transaction.

My experience with brewerys is that for those of us not into beers, iPAs, ales, your choices are minimal or yucky. Not here, we could choose from 4 pages of selections for our event. My problem was there were so many of them I wanted and an equally good selection for hubby who IS into brewery stuff. I got a blackberry or something bramble and hubby got a yellow something. He loved it. I tasted it and nope, don't like brewed stuff. I think this is a great choice for an event or just to come when they are open to the public. I have had a couple of their beers in the past, but at Land Grant's Oktoberfest my friend kept bringing me their Cold IPA (I was pouring for Sierra Nevada) - my girlfriend - who grew up in Wooster - ended up pouring JAFB. I believe the brewer Josh was at Oktoberfest, too! Plain and simple? It's a good damn brewery. I look forward to coming back in the future.

The Draft Room held a "Dark as Night" event which they featured some rare, highly rated stouts. They listed the stouts and after doing some review research, I knew I couldn't miss out! The bar has seating at the bar, small tables near the bar, and bigger tables/booth near the front of the bar. There is a small narrow outside patio, which looked mainly for smoking. I'm not sure if there are tables out there maybe when the weather is nice. The Draft Room had a ton of taps and offered flights, full beer pours, and even half beer pours for all their beers. I love this idea because sometimes I would rather have a smaller portion to try more things! The bartenders were fast and efficient. Since my husband and I both opted to do a flight, they handed us a board with four holes for the flight glasses, and a piece of chalk. The drafts are listed by number, and posted on each side of the bar. We wrote the number of the drafts we wanted to try on the chalk board paint next to each of the drink holes. What a cool idea! There was a cooler of take home beers on the side of the bar. I saw multiple people coming in and buying beer from the cooler and leaving. They have a great selection! They were pretty busy considering how tiny the building is, but there is two pool tables, a jukebox, and Just enough space to sit comfortably. The vibe was pretty chill and laid-back, which is always nice for a little hometown bar. Overall, I was impressed, and I would go again.
