This section of Broad Street includes many prominent theater and concert halls, including the Academy of Music, Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Merriam Theater, Wilma Theater, University of the Arts Gershman Hall, and Suzanne Roberts Theater. The street has "AA" lights all along the way, which is the abbreviation for Avenue of the Arts.

A local cultural arts center introduces active civilian's not only to the local scout or brownie bake sales, but a wonderful on going venue to express and experience a wide variety of typical and not so typical events. We've been to; concerts both in the auditorium and the outside stage, dance recitals, tumbling, expo's, network shops, food shows, plays and fairs. Of course EB day takes place here along of course with the 4th of July sensational fire works display which left our entire group covered in ash, lol ( perhaps they should check wind direction and crowd proximity next year ). The building is fairly modern and the staff always friendly. Tons of parking both on the grounds or through the Heavenly Farms fields. Unfortunately EB being one of the largest commuter towns in central NJ doesn't have a true Mayberry type Main street and really no place to collaborate with fellow local brethren. So come on out and meet your friends, neighbors, officials and be apart of the community, you owe it to yourself and your family.

My reward -- a leisurely browse through the air-conditioned Philadelphia Art Museum. Augustus Saint-Gaudens' towering "Diana" sculpture welcomed me, then I gravitated towards familiar favorites: "Little Dancer, Aged Fourteen" by Degas, & Impressionist paintings; Rothko's "Orange, Red, Yellow"; & Diego Rivera murals. During my visit, Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" were temporarily on display, which are a treat to behold, as well as "Rising Up," an exhibit dedicated to boxing in the US & our fascination with the Rocky statue & steps here at the museum. Though the front of the building is iconic, there's a rideshare pick-up/drop-off point at the back West Entrance that's less congested with traffic & requires less walking for those not keen on a 72-step climb.

It's so cool seeing the armor warriors wore way back in the day when going into battle. Claude Monet, Picasso, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, amongst plenty of other famous artists have paintings here. Thinking about it gives me nostalgia for the late summer. You pay an entrance fee (I forget the exact amount, somewhere between $10-$15) but it includes all the rides and some games. This is great if you are taking kids, so you won't have to worry about tickets, tokens or any other methods of payment. The food is phenomenal for being festival food (but then again I love Polish food). For fair prices you can get potato pancakes, pierogies and imported beer. They have musicians and dancing for entertainment, though I suggest if you're interested in that kind of thing going later on, since that's when the bulk of it happens. I like Benjamin Franklin Parkway. If you've never been to Philadelphia before, I think it's a…read moremust-see. If you have time and weather permits, I recommend walking the parkway in its entirety. It's only about a mile long. Its two end points are major attractions: City Hall (technically, John F. Kennedy Plaza or Love Park: https://www.yelp.com/biz/love-park-philadelphia) and the Philadelphia Museum of Art (https://www.yelp.com/biz/philadelphia-museum-of-art-philadelphia). The Parkway is wide and scenic. It was modeled after the Champs-Elysees in Paris. Unlike the Champs-Elysees, however, Benjamin Franklin Parkway isn't lined with as many buildings, but instead more trees. Many parks and fountains are situated on the Parkway's path, from Love Park to Eakins Oval. Along with parks and fountains, there are several museums and other sights and attractions along the Parkway. They include the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Logan Circle (a.k.a. Logan Square), the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, the Franklin Institute, and the Rodin Museum. The latter is home to a historic statue, The Thinker. This part of town is officially known as the Parkway Museums District. If you're sightseeing in Philly for the first time, I suggest starting at City Hall (https://www.yelp.com/biz/city-hall-philadelphia). The midpoint of the Parkway is the aforementioned Logan Circle (https://www.yelp.com/biz/logan-circle-philadelphia-2), home of the beautiful Swann Memorial Fountain (https://www.yelp.com/biz/swann-memorial-fountain-philadelphia-2). The stretch of parkway between Logan Circle and the Philadelphia Museum of Art is lined with flags of countries from all over the world. Not every country is represented. Growing up, I was first introduced to Benjamin Franklin Parkway, unknowingly, through the Rocky movies. Rocky II (1979) in particular highlights the Parkway with Sylvester Stallone running with a bunch of kids around Swann Memorial Fountain (Logan Circle) and then up the Parkway, past The Thinker (Rodin Museum) and Washington Monument (Eakins Oval), and up the famous art museum steps: https://youtu.be/ABg0c_E7OOI?t=282.
