A great place to spend a sunny afternoon enjoying the views of the Lower Austrian landscape and filling your tummy with ice cream!
If you've lived in Vienna for a while then you have to be familiar with Eis Greissler. The Austrian ice cream store opened its first shop back in 2011 and has since become a huge succes. It was opened by a family of farmers, who used their own bio-milk (organic milk) to make their creamy creations.
In Krumbach you can visit their farm and adventure park and enjoy the freshest Greissler ice cream at their store. There, they offer a 15€ tour that takes around 45minutes, where you learn a little bit about the history of their shop, how they make their ice cream and you also get to meet their favorite employees-their cows! Bonus: the tour also includes a coupon for 3 scoops of ice cream at their shop.
I wouldn't say that it's a mind-blowing tour that everyone needs to go on but it was fun and I enjoyed it! So if you have a free afternoon and the weather is nice, this is a nice place for a date or a family outing and a nice way to get out of the city and get some fresh air~ read more
