So, I started asking James a lot of questions. I have never bought a real estate before and I knew almost nothing about the entire process of buying a house. James answered all my questions with clear explanations and good examples. Being an engineer, I value that an answer is clear, data driven and direct. James impressed me with his knowledge not only about real estate but also relevant subjects such as mortgage, economy, real estate market etc. Then, we decided to buy the house in Rancho Bernardo which is not very close to where SDPI is. For almost 2 years, James came to Rancho Bernardo and surrounding area whenever we found a house that we like. He was always well informed about the houses we looked at and frequently advised us not to make an offer because either he saw a problem with the house or he thought the price was too high. The ones he told us not to miss and make an offer right away, became "pending" always within a few days. Eventually we found a house and made an offer (after missing a few good ones). The time period from the offer to the day we moved in was also a big struggle. There was a problem between the bank and the HOA about the insurance of the house. Although the problem was not related to SDPI, James worked really hard to help resolving the problem. Finally, we happily moved into our first home with lots of appreciation to James and his company for everything he did. In general, the first thing that comes to my mind about James is trust. I was always confident that whatever he tells me, he was honest about it and was thinking in our best interest, rather than trying to make a little more money for his company. Throughout the process I also witnessed that he helped many people without any expectations in return, even people he met for the first time. He is also very knowledgeable and disciplined about anything he does. Another cool thing is that he is a techie. He incorporates technology into what he does and he does it well. All in all, I feel that because he is a real San Diegan, he treats everyone he works with as his neighbor so you always have this comfortable feeling about what he says and does.
