My wife and I came upon Erin after we reviewed a disastrous marketing plan from a discount broker (who had oddly advised that we should lock our side gate and take down our tv before the start of viewings in a gated community). After we determined that her highly rated reviews were likely genuine, we interviewed Erin. During the interview Erin was friendly and very much in charge, knowledgeable, in selling houses. We were impressed by her positive personal and selling outlook and her twenty year experience in a slowing mid-October market and her offer of a no cost housecleaning and one month of no cost staging. After we chose Erin, she quickly presented her plan, and quickly set up housecleaning and staging, beautifying the house. We can text Erin between 9 am and 10 pm weekdays and weekends though we avoided evening hours. Our nextdoor neighbor visited during the Open House and told us that she was impressed by Erin and Erin's and the stager's work. Erin was considerate in setting up potential buyers' and buyers' additional visits, nothing too early and nothing too late. Though what follows is only a small part of the transaction, the initially irritating part, Erin's resolution to the issue deeply surprised us in a good way. The entire selling process went smoothly except for a house cleaner who asked for cleaning supplies and towels. My wife asked the worker, "Don't you carry your own supplies?," which ended the conversation. An hour later, an alarm went off for ten minutes, surprising and mystifying the house cleaners, a termite inspector, and us as to the alarm's location and problem. After a while, a house cleaner pointed to under a sink. It turned out that she had poured a cleaning solution inside a sink cabinet instead of normally spraying, thus setting off a water leak monitor. Finally, at night when it was quiet, we noticed a light streaming sound. A Roman tub had run for almost 12 hours, its cold water handle was broken, before we could shut off the main water valve. A house cleaner did not inform us of this new problem during or after the time she cleaned the tub. The next morning, we reported the broken faucet and the streaming water to Erin. Two different plumbers did not have parts so one plumber scheduled and later replaced the entire faucet through a newly created large hole in a wall. Erin, who was extremely concerned, surprisingly and graciously offered to cover the expensive replacement and repairs during escrow closing. Erin was an amazing person making an amazing offer. We gladly accepted though we thought that the house cleaners should pay but, during small talk with the house cleaners, we did not think both made much money. We DIY-ed the wall hole. Two weeks after the interview and the house prep under Erin's guidance, we had a second fast solid offer. Constantly thinking that houses usually will not easily sell during the fast approaching and dreaded holiday selling season, our house surprisingly closed two days before Thanksgiving!
