We highly recommend them…read more This year we needed to get ourselves a new accountant that would take the time to understand what is going on with our situation and help us to get the best tax return possible. In years previous we had been seeing a private accountant and decided to give Phoenician a try simply because they were conveniently located for us. We popped in and were directed to speak to Sam, who was helpful, and eager to help us out. We primarily had Abbas dealing with our income taxes and he really helped us get to the nitty gritty and dealt with all our spreadsheets in a most efficient manner. Any questions he had he contacted us by phone and email, which I really appreciated that he did both. They literally completed our taxes for this year in less them 72 hours. Plus they used the information from our taxes last year and offered that they could help us out on those ones as well because we felt they were incorrectly filed from our last accountant- right away they saw what was missing and were super great about also completing our taxes for 2015 in record time as well. Cost wise they were a really cost effective switch for us and I felt they offered services better than what our private accountant was offering. I have to put a little shout out to the front desk staff as well who are super friendly and always have a big smile for us when we come in. We are excited to use their services again and won't hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family.

Like most people, I don't know much about accounting so I was looking for help but one of their accountants, Vadim out of St ALbert SCREWED ME OVER. He nearly forced me to incorporate my extremely small business. I am a subcontractor and make less that 50k and he thought incorporating would be best. I disagreed but he filed for incorporation anyways. When i brought up my confusion and made it clear that is never what I wanted, he threatened me with collections and tricked me with a meeting but instead gave me a bill. I've never been more confused or more frustrated in my life. I am still dealing with the fallout of his poor business tactics. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE.

They resolved an issue with CRA about 10 years back, now Emma and Wendy flagged another irregularity, in what my securities company was doing in the charging of fees. Once I confronted my Financial advisor, he checked into it, and yes, back 18 months ago they changed how they charge for the service, however they did not delete the old format of charging, so it was in effect double charging for service. For me, the problem has now been resolved, but the financial advisor now has to check over all the other accounts to make sure they have not been affected. Keep up the great work!
