Sorry. Wasn't impressed. The rice, beans, carrots... none of them were tasty. The pupusa was hard and bland. I have to give a pass.

These are pupusas de queso and pupusas de frijol con queso. So good! And the service was excellent.

I've been coming here since I was a little girl and I as always the food was great and so was the service. I got the pupusas de queso y de frijol.

This Salvadorian cuisine is authentic & very well mannered. It has a great reputation for good food, service, and hours! I recommend it to all those who are looking to have a great meal & support mom and pop shops over the usual restaurant chains.

Fajitas were very flavorful and the side dishes were delicious too. Very inexpensive and generous portions.

Every component is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. I did really want to try their breakfast burrito and was sad (& surprised) they aren't open for breakfast on Mondays, because online it says they are. Anyways, we got there right when they opened for dinner and others clearly had the same idea. You order inside at the counter, sit and they bring you your food. Our food did take awhile to come out though, and we were giving the tables around us side eye for getting their food before us. We devoured our chips and salsa in the meantime. All 3 salsas are amazing and worth getting! They went great on the burrito too. Matcha horchata and Arnold Palmer were refreshing, and I appreciate the more inventive drinks than your standard taqueria. And now onto the main event... THE California burrito. Man, it made me happy to be alive. We sat on the patio and it was lovely, and shaded by the umbrellas.

Not wanting to be rude, and at the insistence of my partner, we paid for our sandwiches and left. I managed to take a picture of the roach. My veggie patty came out from the fridge, so I felt slightly better when eating it, hoping that no roach came across it, but it was so frost bitten and then heated up, it tasted like a mush patty sandwich. It was by far the worst subway I've had. My partner ate his sandwich, and of course, now has food poisoning. He ordered the chicken bacon ranch sub. The sandwich artist also had his mask underneath his nose. I would highly recommend no ody to come here. I should have left immediately. Horrendous location.

I'm used to Subway people waiting impatiently on me to figure out WTH I want, but here....it's always the opposite. At this Subway, you'll have time to draft your entire Yelp review while waiting to order. Plan on a good 10-15 mins to stop in here. To add insult to injury, they will literally sprinkle the bare minimum amount of toppings...seriously.... 6 olive slices? Why don't you just sprinkle olive dust on it?! And I thought the 11" footlong was the worst of their crimes. Sadly no. Be prepared to get the evil eye when you ask for more olives and onions. There's a parking lot directly behind the building...be careful not to drive/step into the grave-sized potholes. I'm tempted to calculate the extra minutes in line + toppings shortage, divided by the close proximity to my house, minus the distance to the next closest subway in Takoma multiplied by the proportional increase in toppings, by the square root of improved customer service, carry the one.....oh screw it. I'll be back and I know it, It's right around the corner from my house. Damn.
