The service was great, atmosphere nice, but the food was bland and flavorless. We ordered the enchiladas with new sauce, a taco salad and white cheese dip. The ground beef had peppers and onions, which I was not a fan of and the sauce was a little sweet. The taco salad was a perfect size, the white cheese sauce had no flavor and the retried beans were very salty! We have really enjoyed eating here. Since we moved to Mount Vernon. It has definitely gone down hill on the food quality! Today the refried beans had salt in them! Who puts salt in refried beans? The red sauce tasted as if the salt container spilled over into sauce tub! My husband even commented on the salt in his food! Definitely will not be back again for a few months. Okay food and decently priced. Very good servers. The Hot salsa is tasty, I recommend that. The fajitas leave a lot to be desired. Grisly meat not properly cleaned and trimmed leaves you with a lack of appetite. My husband likes the chimi so there's that. read more

First time here. Small cantina. Bar service. Very clean, waitress very friendly. I was there for a late lunch. Lunch menu has 30 items. I ordered chicken enchiladas with salsa verde. Enjoyed them. I asked for their hot table salsa. It was Hot and very flavourful. Lunch prices competitive. I enjoyed my food. If your in the area and wanting good tex-mex for lunch, I can recommend this place. I placed a to go order and it was for the fajita tacos. I added on the extra items that come with the fajita meal (lettuce, sour cream, pico, and guacamole). I didn't think about the fact that it would hike up the price pretty high so I go to pay and notice it's the same amount as the fajita meal, around $15. I mention it and ask if I can get the extras that come with the fajita meal since that's what I'm going to end up paying for anyway. The woman at the counter is extremely unhelpful so I ask for a manager. Apparently he's not there so I speak with someone they say is the owner. To speed up the story I go back and forth with him arguing and he doesn't understand what I'm saying so they refuse service and take the food. I got a refund but I'm not happy AT ALL with the way it was handled. extremely rude customer service. I recommend eating ANYWHERE else. read more

Do not eat here. First I do not eat beef. I ordered chicken azteca and there were so my small peices of beef in there. I told the owner and he said we cook all together and then he said if you don't want to come back it's ok. I eat at alot of Mexican restaurant this never happened to me. Not acceptable. Love it here, their hot salsa talks to my soul. They have a chorizo queso that is out of this world. They also have a tacos compachano not sure of spelling it is a corn tortilla with steak,chorizo and bacon and if that doesn't scream your name they top it with onion cilantro and jalapeño, a squeeze of lime and my heart is full , they also serve adult beverages if you get the hot salsa might want to order a jumbo draft .
