I woke up earlier than usual today and decided to try out the bagels here. I drive past this location daily on my commute to work, and I am kicking myself for not having come sooner. The young lady at the register was really sweet and made me a fantastic cold brew. I didn't know that all the food was made to order so she asked the staff to rush my order so I could get to work. The BEC (Bacon Egg & Cheese) bagel (rosemary & sea-salt) was out of this world! Bagel was perfect and pretty big, with 2 fried eggs and a lot of bacon and cheese. This was the perfect breakfast to get me through my 12-hour shift today. I normally do not write reviews, but I had to give credit to this place for the great food, strong coffee, and excellent service. I found out about El Bagel right at the start of the pandemic. Was unfortunate not to be able to visit and in person, however they quickly adapted and became fully online. We order from here about once a month and our bagels are always warm and delicious. We live close by so pick up is a breeze! Order by 0800 and pick up by 0830. Both plan and green onion cream cheese are excellent. Cant leave without them! I have also tried their lox and ebc sandwich bagels. Okay. I'll start by saying that I waited to go to El Bagel a second time to actually acknowledge how GREAT this place is. WOW. BAGELS: EXTREMELY DELICIOUS. By now, you know how picky of an Italian judgement I have, but these bagels were by far the best ones I've had in Miami. The Supreme Lox (Closed) is my FAVORITE. The flavors are just so perfectly tied together and the bagel itself (a plain one which I got toasted) was really really good. The B.E.C is one bagel that y'all are gonna need to try because it goes beyond the basic definition of a bacon,egg and cheese bagel. Thick cut bacon, fried egg and cheesy to perfection with spicy honey (of your choice) that really gives a perfect twist. King Guava. Now, I begin to say that I'm not a real fan of sweet & savory, but trust me it is a true DELICACY that surprisingly I really liked too. SERVICE: During corona time, things have definitely changed for everyone (Y'all know that already by now). However, El Bagel is still going strong providing its customers with very good quality customer service. They are relatively quick, precise and professional. Matt is one of my favorite. He is funny and readily available for anything you may need! The only thing you need to pay attention to is how you have to order now. They only take online orders which I highly suggest to place one and a half to two hours in advance, especially on weekends. For example, I placed my order at 8:30AM and they notified me that pickup was going to be ready after 10AM. THEY ARE BUSY and sell out very quickly. But, trust me. It is worth it. Wake up just a bit earlier on a Saturday and you'll have one of the best brunches. LOCATION: Mmmmm. I was surprised. It is a nice little shop, but it's located on a Main Street with very limited parking. If you are in a hurry, I guess you'd be fine. However, if you want to hang out a bit longer, unless you're lucky enough to find parking right in front of the restaurant, you'll need to park your car a little bit further and then walk to El Bagel. I don't have any comments or particular compliment to give to the interior because, unfortunately, nobody can get in right now, but I'm sure it's cozy and clean. El Bagel finally opened! ...and then the City of Miami made all the restaurants close except for takeout and delivery. In light of these recent measures for Coronavirus, I've been trying to order out more often to help some of my favorite local businesses survive! #OrderOutHelpOut Lucky for me, Diandra drove up to MiMo to pick up our order. We ordered online and they texted us when the bagels were ready. We split an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a BEC sandwich (bacon, egg & cheese) on an everything bagel. I also got a sea salt bagel to save for the following day. Even with takeout and the drive from MiMo to Coconut Grove, these were the freshest bagels ever. I mean, they hand-roll these babies every day, so of course they taste amazing. The BEC was my favorite... it's a classic but done to perfection. The everything bagel with cream cheese was also amazing and having half of that and half a BEC was the perfect amount of food. Can't wait until the next time I order takeout from here. Having this for breakfast makes this lockdown pretty enjoyable. Also as a side note: when El Bagel was still a truck, I tried the king guava, lox, & avo spesh. Don't waste your time or money- you end up with cold bagels and there is nothing you can do about it. The management could care less about customer service. The parking is ridiculous and the ordering system is absurd. This is not NY or Cali- You can order at 8 and may not be able to pick up until 10am. At which point your breakfast is sitting until they allow you to pick up. Nice and Cold just the way a breakfast sandwich should be. I finally got to try this place since I was up in the area and wow let me tell you... it did not disappoint! my husband and I picked up some lox and BEC breakfast sandwiches and they were amazing. The best BEC I've ever had. I think one thing that really stands about about it is the fact that they actually put a full egg on it and not one that's been molded and scrambled- but a full semi soft egg which I loved. My 1.5 year old even had a bite of both and loved it. I can't wait to go back. We left with a half a dozen bagels and some scallion cream cheese but next time I'll get less since they are already pretty hard after 24 hours.. not a huge deal because they were so fresh! Fabulous. We come here often and I either get the bacon egg bagel or the lox. The bagels themselves are really delicious and taste very fresh. The prices are a little outrageous, but if you know that going in, you just dish the money and get a delicious breakfast. Be prepared to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes if you're ordering anything more than just a simple bagel. But it's a nice change if you're looking for more than just a plain bagel with cream cheese. Got an assorted huge bag of bagels through the "Too Good to Go" app (It was less than $5, I think), I wanted to try the bagels. Additionally, got some 2 types of cream cheeses (lox and chives) which are pretty good (about $10 each). Had to freeze a lot of the bagels and gifted some as well... I highly recommend to get there exactly at 10am so you can be able to order whatever you want. By 11:30am for sure items will start to sell out ( it's simply that good ). They make great bagels and bagel sandwiches, the lox was packed with a ton of smoked salmon which helped me come to terms with the price point, and you can tell everything is fresh, but the ordering system is a little annoying to deal with. I didn't realize we had to order an hour and a half ahead, when we placed an order at 10:20 and paid the system said it wouldn't be ready until 11:55, we were in the area sooner and went to ask and they said the wait times are accurate so then had to come back, I know it's a popular spot but I was a little thrown off by the long wait which was a vibe kill We get there back on time and our order didn't come out until like 12:20? that's ridiculous for bagel sandwiches. What can I say that hasn't already been said about the best bagels in Miami? That's right I said it and I'll say it louder for the kids in the back! I've been to the bagel rig a few times in the last 2 years at the back of Boxelder and I'm so happy to see them opening 3 blocks from my job!! These bagels are the closest thing you'll get to a NY bagel. Just enough chew and delicious flavors. I usually go for the BEC (bacon, egg & cheese $10) on an everything bagel. You gotta try a bagel sandwich before you get a bagel with cream cheese, okay?! It's so freaking good! Just try one! Also they have great coffee, Great Circle is a local brand so def support local here. They will also be serving beer soon but I'm not sure of which brands or how soon. read more

A Miami bagel staple. If I could give this place 10 stars - I would! Super fresh bagels filled with deliciousness. Yummy! Not a huge menu, but that's okay. It suited the minimalist look of the place. Bagels were super messy LOL My boyfriends bagel had cheese on it and there was cheese everywhere. I would go back, but I would ask for less cream cheese on the salmon lox bagel. The actual bagels were genuine fresh bagels. Asked my sisters and their bagels were hard as well. Disappointing paying $13 for a bagel and rather having a thomas bagel out the bag. Bagels are life. For whatever reason, Miami has yet to figure this out but THANKFULLY El Bagel is here serving up some bagel goodness out of a food truck every weekend. If you follow these folks on the gram, you'll see they post up most Saturday's at Box Elder. Bagels and beer - sounds like a delight. We arrived around 9:50 and were maybe the 10th people in line for the truck to open at 10 am - ish. The truck is run by some home grown Miami heroes who hand roll and bake these bagels fresh. The menu consists of about 9 different bagel sandwiches - priced between $8-12 each. You can also just go classic and get a bagel with cream cheese. We ordered: +BEC: Proper sausages bacon, cage free eggs, everything bagel. Nuff said - this was the ooey gooey cheesey salty breakfast sandwich of my dreams. The everything bagel was perfect. + Lox Supreme: A bagel with lox is my go-to order. In college, I worked at a bagel shop and ate more of these than I could count. El Bagel's Lox Supreme is out of control. I'd suggest ordering it open faced, as it's messy af. BUT WORTH IT. The lox is cured locally in little haiti, there are pickled red onions, fresh dill, and of course cream cheese to go with this beautiful lox. I finished this and believe I had bagel in my hair, on my arms, my shirt - and considered it a sign of a bagel well experienced. YUM. +King Guava: if you have never tried locally made Redland Guava, you are missing out. Good thing for you is that you can get this in the King Guava bagel - mixed with cream cheese, an egg, and picnic fries. WOW. If you've had an Elena Ruz sandwich, it evokes those kind of flavor profiles. The owner, Matt, recommended getting this on a salt bagel - which was a perfect salty/sweet mix when you took a bite. All in all - el bagel is delicious. You're paying for quality, locally made ingredients and friendly service. Super excited to go back and taste my way thru the rest of the sandwiches.
