I've been coming to the Roasters original Pinecrest location for 26 years. And for most of those Ivan has been working Sunday mornings! Their bagels are always on point, which I usually request to be scooped and toasted (my technique is cream cheese first, then whitefish salad inside the scoop) and come in all the good flavors, but none of the not a bagel flavors. Their nova comes in multiple grades (regular and Acme(tm)) which is sliced by Florida's top professional "nova slayer" in such a way that it is just better than the best you'll have anywhere else. I've been coming here all my adult life and the service is always fast and friendly. The staff is on top of their game, always making sure you have water, coffee, and utensils. The staff will ask you what you'd like to drink right before you even sit down. I love it! The portions are pretty big, so be prepared to share or take some home with you. Sunday lunch. Place was pretty full so we had a 15 minute wait. There were 2 booths available and we were 3. We asked for a booth and were told no. One was given to a group of 2. We begged for the other empty booth because one of our group is disabled a regular chair was too uncomfortable. We begged. That was unnecessary and loss of one star. Anyway, the rest of the meal was thankfully awesome. Our server was super and really went out of his way. The matzo ball soup is perfection! The kniche was meh but edible. The Benny Florentine was delicious; the hollandaise was on point. The nova platter was incredible, the smoked salmon sliced razor thin and all the rest of the ingredients fresh and plentiful. I totally forgot it was Sunday at 10 AM because this place was so crowded. People were waiting outside for tables. Inside the restaurant was a little cramped but it did give old school New York deli/diner vibes which I really liked. We had a bacon egg and cheese bagel and I'm not sure the name of the other bagel we had. Everything was really really good. The portions are kind of big so also good to share. We were in the area and decided to stop in Roasters 'N Toasters for breakfast. We were seated immediately. The waiter brought us water and took our orders. He advised me about the different bagel and lox sandwiches and was pretty funny. The food was very good . I had the Sam Greenberg, which consisted of bagel, lox, cream cheese and chives, capers, chopped tomatoes, onions and jalapeños with lemon. It was amazing. My husband had the Signature Breakfast Sandwich- which consisted of a Kaiser roll, egg, bacon and Swiss cheese. He enjoyed it. We also ordered fresh fruit and turkey sausage. The closest Roasters' n Toasters to my home sadly closed, but I must admit this is the one I like the best. So I made the extra 10 minute drive for my favorite Saturday morning after shul meal. Nova and onion scramble with potato latkes and a bagel with a shmear. The food has always was exceptional and the surface beyond exceptional. I like this one mostly because the restaurant is a little more attractive. But to my surprise and enjoy the bus person from the previous restaurant is now working here. He brightens up the meal and makes the customers feel welcome. At a restaurant that is this busy that is important because the waitress reminded me of a tornado and how quickly she went from table to table and expertly managed getting all the food out as quickly as possible, and all the orders taken even more quickly. This is as close to a New York style deli as you're going to find in Kendall. They are still interested in customer service and are the only ones locally that will still bring you complementary coleslaw and pickles. Their house sour pickles are awesome in their coleslaw is among the best around. Serving this gratis like the kosher delis in New York just makes you feel special as a customer. But there are many other reasons why you feel special here. My meal was great. The service was great. The restaurant is great. There's plenty of free parking. I've been coming to Roasters N Toasters in Pinecrest since I was a kid. My girlfriend and I walked in for brunch and asked if we could have an empty booth. Keith, who was seating people, told us no because he wanted to give another section more tables since the server "hadn't had many today." He said, "Gotta be fair, right?" I asked, "Fair to the worker or the customer?" and he replied, "You're still eating, right?" Best deli around. You haven't lived until you've tried the challah bread French toast. It's the gold standard! The service is so good and everyone there is so nice and eager to serve. We are up early and always in right after they open and it's just such a cozy, intimate, early morning breakfast vibe. I ordered scrambled eggs and the waiter, Ivan, prompted if I would like to add cheese on top, so I added melted cheddar. Stopped here at Roasters 'N Toasters for the first time. Upon arriving the parking lot was packed. We did find parking though. The location was very busy. We were seated right away. Unfortunately, we did not have a server stop by our table for at least 15 minutes. The location was quite loud, but it was super busy. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the French toast and it is by far some of the tastiest French toast I have ever had. Just delicious. The side order of house potatoes were cold. The sausage and eggs were also good. The other person in my party had a half roast beef and matzo ball soup. They said it was really good. The flavors were just wonderful. The coleslaw was incredible as well. So creamy, fresh, and sweet. Perfection! The coffee was also great. The only thing for losing a star was our server. After taking our order she was not as attentive as I saw others. We searched for her to ask for additional needs. That was the only thing we wished were better. Overall it was delicious food though. Very nice brunch spot! Especially for a quick meal. I got the Old Jewish Man because I love lox bagels, and I was not disappointed. I was offered the choice which type of lox I would want, but I got the basic one because I didn't want it too salty. I was very pleased with how much lox I received and overall my meal was very delicious. My mom is always a fan of their garlic and chives cream cheese, and I admit it's quite flavorful and fresh when paired with one of their in-house bagels. Inside is clean but a little cramped in my opinion. This restaurant gets very busy so if you want to come for a weekend brunch meal, come early! read more

So yum!!!! It's hard to believe I've never been to Roasters and Toasters in all my years visiting family in Miami. But I'm definitely going back!! You can tell the locals go often - our server knew a bunch by name. It was buzzing at 11;30am and packed by 12:15pm on a weekday. What a menu l!!!! So much to choose from. We settled on the soup and sandwich combo. OMG - the bowl of soup was HUGE. We would have expected a cup but a bowl? Wow! Holy moly. We had the 1/2 chopped liver sandwich and the (ginormous) bowl of split pea soup and the 1/2 pastrami sandwich (sorry, no pic - we ate it quickly!) with matzah ball soup. The pea soup was well seasoned with pepper and rich; the matzah ball soup was a little flimsy and could have used some salt but the matzah ball was nice and fluffy. Our server was terrific (sadly can't remember her name) and gave us great service with a smile. She also took the time to explain how the app works too and patiently answered our questions. I washed down my meal with a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda, the perfect accompaniment to a delicious deli meal. I will be back!! read more

Great service from start to finish. NY deli feel. We were given a homemade pickle and coleslaw to start. A pickle is sometimes just a pickle. I live across the street in Dadeland and have driven by this place countless times. Being from New York, I really value neighborhood restaurants and always try to support them. Unfortunately, my first experience here was a disappointment, and I don't think I'll be back. I walked in and politely asked if they were too busy to seat a table for one. I was seated at a table that was visibly dirty--sticky with leftover syrup and spilled water. Instead of properly cleaning it, they attempted to wipe it down with a paper napkin. After being seated, I waited over 20 minutes without anyone greeting me, bringing water, or even asking if I wanted coffee. No acknowledgment at all. I wanted to like this place, especially since it's right in the neighborhood, but basic cleanliness and service were completely missed. If you're in the dadeland area... When I arrived to the restaurant, they put me at a table which was right next to the hostess' stand. He didn't even check on me. Then about 5 minutes later, a couple arrived, they got their drinks first before me. I complained that no server hadn't come to my table. Few minutes later, a server finally showed up & apologized. I never got my drink. I had to ask a different server for a glass of water. The food was good, their French toast was excellent. But I was very disappointed with their service. I got to visit this location for a friend's birthday that was looking for great breakfast potatoes. I have to start with this place is hopping on a sarmturday morning! We were there a little before ten and the place was packed and people just kept arriving and lining up outside. The service is quick and friendly. At first glance I thought the price was on the average high side until the plates arrived. The portions are HUGE! I mean, we were 4 adults and we could've easily fed 2 to 3 more people (no regrets though). We ordered the French toast which were large and fluffy without being dry and sweet enough to be delicious without being overwhelming. Some added syrup and others just ate them plain. The short stack of pancakes can easily feed 2 people. They were beautiful and fluffy. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was the only dish of "normal" size which allowed to sample others plate . I didn't get to try the latkas we ordered but everyone raved about them. Our server Tiffany was incredible. She was patient, kind and a ninja at filling our hot drinks. Without notice she topped everyone's coffee when it was getting low. All in all wonderful place. Word of advise, park in the rear as the front lot is a nightmare and it's not a quiet place so be prepared to feel like you're in a hot spot. read more

The food is consistently good at R&T's, and I especially recommend any of their deli salads (tuna, chicken, etc.). Their plate portions are huge for the most part and their prices will reflect that. I also believe most of their items, if not at least 80% are all house made. I've been coming here since I was little and the staff was always like family - however I think the management changed years ago but some of the long time servers are still there.
