I reached out to the Hacienda and within 24 hours, Joanna reached out to me and went over every little detail they cover, so that I didn't need to. And then she took the time to FaceTime call me, to show me around the grounds and all the views. And the video call did not do the venue justice. I can't put into words how beautiful and magical the Hacienda is. My husband and I travel the world, and this was the most magical place we'd ever been to. After we paid our deposit, the owner Ashley, reached out to me to go over the little details. We went over the menu and colors and changed dancing to karaoke. Ashley was easy to work with and very accommodating to what my husband and I envisioned for our perfect day. Thirty days later, we pulled up and it was perfect! Literally didn't lift a finger or have any stress! It was the PERFECT day! So if you want a beautiful Puerto Rico wedding, I did hours of research.... And this is the place you want! This property is very well kept and worth every cent. The street parking is good and the house is in a great location with a full service (alcohol) grocery store in walking distance. Rincon is an incredible town with some of the greatest sunsets you will ever witness. Nice restaurants and accessibility to major highway headed either direction.

Not a four-star "Hilton", but better! Very homey, nice & comfortable. And the views over the ocean are picture perfect! I rented the villa for my wedding guests and everyone loved it. There was enough spaces where we could socialize, but also we could each have our privacy. I rented the whole downstairs and the larger upstairs apartment facing the ocean. We actually had our rehearsal dinner upstairs for 30 people and it was very, very nice! We originally wanted to get married on the beach, but there wasn't much beach for 50 people. The tide was in most of the time we were there, so keep that in mind if you are planning a wedding there. There is also a sharp coral reef a few feet from the beach, so make sure to wear water shoes! Two of my guests got splinters from the coral. The staff were friendly and attentive. The owner was very professional to work with. He was very responsive and helpful.

Well, if you can't tell by the pictures I uploaded, the venue is great, roomy, clean and looked great. We hosted our wedding for 130 people. We did the ceremony and reception on the same place and had plenty of room to dance. Staff was understanding and accommodating with us. We arrived to PR a week before the wedding and was unable to travel to this city on the west coast (I was staying on the north coast) until 2 days prior to the wedding. Administration payed attention to our concerns and trusted us as well. All in all, this IS a great venue and is well known in Mayagüez for hosting great parties. Very pleased with the service and venue. Definitely recommend it!

Moldy coffee grounds in the room coffee pot, Locked out of my room because "the manager wasn't working," got walked in on by staff while I was naked in bed.. no knock, nothing, room was contaminated with fiberglass from the deteriorating fiberglass bed protector, needed to switch rooms, room I moved to had electrical problems, couldn't get out of my booking, the water went out, but they didn't notify anyone. They knew, but thought it was a nice surprise to come home to and discover for yourself...It was generally difficult to find anyone to help, whoever is manning the front desk has many other things to do... so they have to be tracked down. And even when you eventually do, they have to find another person who might be able to help. Which could take hours (and usually does.) I've literally never had a worse trip. I've stayed at many $10- $4/night hotels, and I'd trade any one of them for this one. (Except the one with bed bugs.) For the price, I thought it would be amazing. But it was only amazingly bad. Last month, I stayed at a Westin for the same exact amount, and had the polar opposite experience. Hands down, this was the worst value for money I've ever experienced.

However, the hotel was understaffed and empty during our stay. For two to three days, my guest and I had to share a single dirty bath towel. We requested room cleaning and additional towels, a few times. There were other non ideal situations and when we raised concerns, they were often minimized. The pool bar was also not very well maintained or staffed. Overall, it was ok for a last-minute booking, but for the price, I think you could get more value at nearby properties.

It is a secluded and hidden property. It feels very peaceful because it's quiet and relaxing which makes it a great place if you are looking to truly relax and disconnect. from the fast pace of life. The pool area is beautiful and very large, which makes it a great place to lounge and enjoy the tropical atmosphere. I also really liked the beach bar café next to the pool, where you can grab drinks and snacks while enjoying the view. I really enjoyed ordering many pina colada's which were so delicious. The grounds of the property are pretty and well landscaped, which adds to the relaxing feel of the resort. However, there are a few things that could really improve the experience. The rooms definitely need renovation and upkeep. Since the property is older, the wear and tear really shows. A fresh coat of paint and an overall renovation of both the interior rooms and some exterior areas would make a big difference. The resort only has one main restaurant, and while some of the staff were very nice, a few of the servers had dispositions that were not very welcoming. Another thing I felt was missing was a small gift shop or convenience store on the property. It would be very helpful to have a place where guests could buy things like drinks, snacks, sunscreen, hats, magazines, or Puerto Rico souvenirs. The beach access could also be improved, as it wasn't as easy or convenient as expected for a beachfront property. It is situated on the beach, but it was not an ideal place to walk or sit on the beach as it was too rocky and an only a small area of sand. That said, I truly enjoyed my stay because of the destination wedding and the beautiful setting. It was a wonderful event and I am glad I experienced the resort. However, because of the condition of the rooms and some of the limitations of the property, I personally would not stay here again unless renovations were completed.

This is the reason why I would give them the 5 stars. However, if you're planning on staying there DON'T. I don't know about the big villas but we stayed in the superior hotel room which was lousy. After taking a shower I walked barefooted on the tile floor. My feet turned black and the floor felt sandy, as if they hadn't cleaned the floors. Furthermore, the walls are paper thin. We could even hear the people next to us every time they went to the bathroom, and I'm not talking about flushing the toilet. I'm talking about every time they . IMO, they need to improve on their hotel rooms. It's a shame for such a beautiful property to have rooms that are not adequately maintained.
