What began as a goal to learn a trade quickly became a foundation for future business ownership, and much of that growth is credited to Mr. Raul Ramirez. Mr. Ramirez is an exceptional instructor and a true genius in automotive technology. He is meticulous, demanding, and uncompromising in his standards, yet always fair and respectful to every student. His unannounced, self-designed exams required complete mastery of the material and accurately reflected the pressure and expectations of real-world service centers. With experience at Tesla and other professional facilities, he consistently brought real-life scenarios into the classroom, teaching not only technical skills but professionalism, problem-solving, and operational thinking. While in his program, I balanced school with working as a professional tattoo artist and was honored to be selected as class ambassador. I graduated with a 3.89 GPA and, after graduation, secured a part-time position at DWP Auto Tech Services. Mr. Ramirez's mentorship and discipline provided the foundation and mindset I need as I work toward owning both an automotive repair shop and a tattoo business. I am truly honored to have been his student.

Three years ago, I spoke with the person who oversees the college as well as a supervisor in the Admissions Department. Both agreed to merge my two student ID numbers into one. Despite that agreement, nothing was ever completed. Last month, I followed up with Holly in Admissions, who confirmed the IDs were still not merged. She stated she would call me back after resolving the issue, but I never received any follow-up. In addition, I submitted a transcript request through Parchment three weeks ago for another university. When I checked the status, Parchment indicated that Los Angeles Southwest College has still not approved or released the transcript. This type of delay has happened repeatedly and directly impacts my educational progress. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic administrative accuracy is unacceptable for any college. Students should not have to chase down their own academic records or experience barriers to continuing their education due to institutional negligence. I am requesting immediate resolution, including the prompt merging of my student records and the release of my transcript without further delay. If this matter is not addressed in a timely manner, I will escalate my complaint to the Los Angeles Community College District Chancellor's Office, the California Community Colleges Ombuds Office, regulatory authorities through Parchment, and relevant higher-education oversight bodies. I expect transparency, follow-through, and timely fulfillment of standard requests that directly affect my academic and professional opportunities.

This ADN program was honestly one of the worst academic experiences I've had in my life. There was…read morea lot of favoritism, and it felt like some nursing staff were using the program to push their own family members through. That alone created an unfair environment where certain students seemed protected while others were constantly stressed about passing. You had to be careful who you talked to because you never knew if the person sitting next to you was related to a professor, and anything you said could get back to them, and that professor will make your life hell. There was also clear favoritism toward student leadership, especially the class president, which created tension and hostility among students instead of support and teamwork. The environment felt divided and uncomfortable rather than focused on learning. On top of that, I experienced and witnessed behavior from professors that felt discriminatory and unprofessional. Instead of feeling supported, many of us felt singled out or discouraged. Overall, the program felt toxic, stressful, and more about politics than education. I feel like I have PTSD from this program. Also, its mandatory to do 8 hours in skills lab every quarter semester which is stupid being that you have to study and do homework because the professors don't know how to teach so you have to teach yourself, I'm genuinely relieved I got out and moved on from that school. This program needs to be investigated.
