I take my daughter to mathnasium about 3 times per week and she actually seems like she enjoys being there. The staff there all seem to care about the kids getting better at math. The vibe is energetic and positive. My daughter's math has gotten significantly better to the point where her actual math homework for first grade is too easy for her. So it's definitely helping for sure. Separately mathnasium has their own effective currency called "cards" that students earn based on how much math they do and they then use those cards to buy whatever items they want ranging from candy to toys to even big ticket items like ps5 or Nintendo switches. This teaches my daughter to essentially be good with money by learning to save instead of spend which is even more important to me than her being good at math. read more

I recently signed both of my daughters up for Mathnasium at this particular location to help reinforce math fundamentally and help with their overall confidence. My daughters, 3rd and 6th grade, both really enjoy going and are really motivated by the reward system they have in place. They've said all the tutors that work there have been really nice, helpful and are very attentive when they have a question or need help. I love that each child is assessed individually and is able to work at his or her own pace. My girls leave feeling proud of themselves and their confidence boosted. I would recommend this center to anyone with a child that needs a little extra help, or even wants more of a challenge since they're able to move as quickly as they want. For my kid this place wasn't great because he was going weekly or sometimes bi weekly and nobody had told me that he would be given assessments almost every time he goes. They never really go over the assessment with him. They just use that to place him in a level but it would take up most of the time. My son has always had a love for numbers. So, I was first really interested to have my son take the diagnostic test to find out where his strengths and opportunities to improve were in math. After visiting the first time, my son was extremely motivated to join the program. Mathnasium does a great job at creating many incentive programs to motivate the kids. From punch cards, to mastery checks, to spinning wheels, and leaderboards... my son is always pumped to attend math and asks to go every day and always wishes he could stay longer than an hour. We are extremely happy that we joined the Mathnasium family! I'm not even sure where to start. Our daughter was always an avid reader, but struggled with everything else... from organization and planning, following instructions, and math. We would try and help her with her homework every night and she had a tutor for an hour every week, but it never seemed to be enough, since we were always just playing "catch up" in reviewing the concepts that she just didn't understand in class. I love that Mathnasium is flexible... she can just drop in for a session whenever a block of time opens up in her schedule. She works on concepts that she missed on her assessments all summer, so hopefully for this coming school year she will actually be ahead, and not merely trying to keep up. They are also open fairly late in the evening and on the weekends, which is handy if our weekday schedule is full with other activities. She loves going to Mathnasium because the instructors try to keep the time interesting for her, and make math entertaining. She's also gaining the concept of organization through the use of the "reward card" system. We love it! read more

We absolutely LOVE Mathnasium. My kids have been attending Mathnasium for a while now. First my older one, then my younger one as well. The staff is so friendly, great with the kids, and extremely helpful. They call every month with an update on how my kids are performing and progressing. It is very helpful that they have a flexible schedule, so we can attend whenever is convenient for our schedule (versus at a set day/time every week). I have tried a lot of things to help my son catch up in math - individual tutors, tutoring services and classes. Mathnasium is the only one that has worked. I think the combination of structured materials with assistance works well. In particular, my son said the materials had good examples so he could understand the concepts.
