    Combination dinner - $7.99

Great food for a reasonable price. I got two burritos, a taco, a side of rice and a drink for $11! And the portions are huge!

I drive all the way from Danville just to eat here at least once a week. While Danville does have several Mexican restaurants, none of them are even close to this one. When I eat Mexican food I expect it to be spicy, and that is what the ones in Danville are lacking. The food here is very spicy, from the salsa to the actual meal. That what I want when I eat Mexican, and they deliver time and time again. Also staff is very friendly and always smiling.

Food is awesome, service is always great. The best thing is that it is affordable, which is hard to find these days.

Tried this place for the first time. Will not go back again. The food was awful. It was cold and tasted terrible.

The chicken itself was excellent. It was incredibly juicy, perfectly fried, and had a great crispy coating. My only issue was that the breading felt like it was missing a little something, maybe more seasoning, pepper, or some extra flavor. Growing up with places like Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis and Nashville hot chicken, I think I naturally expect a little more punch from the chicken itself. The sauce they serve is more of a barbecue style sauce, and while it worked, I personally didn't love it enough for it to carry all the flavor. The sides were a mixed bag. The collard greens were really good and definitely one of the highlights. The coleslaw, though, was way too pepper heavy for my taste. Also, the piece of bread that comes with the meal was honestly not worth the calories. I'd rather see them either upgrade the bread or skip it altogether. One unexpected highlight was the pebble ice from the drink machine. Small detail, but it was awesome and definitely appreciated. Overall, I'd come back and try some different sides because the chicken itself is worth returning for. With a little more seasoning or some different sauce options, I could see this being a 5 star spot.

So I pulled out the trusty Yelp app to see if there might be something interesting to try in the area. I landed on a well rated Peruvian fast-casual place called Colca's Chicken and decided to stop in. This is a newer building, but the layout is a little odd in the sense that all parking is around the side and back, and because of the topography, you have to walk around to the road-side to get in. Only really pertinent if you are a person with mobility issues, fine by me. The style is fast casual, and they offer anything from simple sandwiches, to monster burritos, and entree platters. I saw someone getting a burrito and it looked really good, so I went for the "Colca"s Chicken burrito" which came with Marinated Chicken, Peruvian Fried Rice, Peruvian Chickpeas, Queso Fresco, Peruvian Onions, Cilantro, Pico de Gallo, Guacamole, Roasted Peruvian Corn, traditional Peruvian Aji Yellow Sauce. Sorry for all those caps, i copy pasted from their website. First thing... what a monster. There was so much protein and fillings in this thing that the guy making mine completely failed to roll it properly. Just wasnt possible. He did his best but a big tear opened up in the side. I told him it was OK, and he just wrapped it over with foil. I was able to eat about half before grabbing a fork and having the rest more like a bowl. Honestly though, it was so big, a little more than half was all I wanted. I wish I could say I enjoyed all of it thoroughly, but one of the elements, the roasted corn, made it difficult. The corn was so over-roasted that all the kernels were hard. It was nearly like biting into a popcorn kernel, but thankfully, they did break apart once you bit in. Whenever I hit some, it was unpleasant. Once I got in with a fork, I did my best ot separate them out, but kept hitting some. I also wasn't a huge fan of the garbanzo beans. I would know better on both items for next time. In general though, with that knowledge, I think my next experience would be better, if I get that chance. Seems like a great local place to go for an interesting meal.
