    Crab cakes

Best crab cakes ever! Lump crab meat that was well seasoned and perfectly crispy on the bottom. The remoulade sauce was excellent as were the sides of orzo and broccoli. Great atmosphere. Right across from Caesar's. Open for dinner starting at 5. Don't miss this gem while in Danville.

A true gem. This restaurant has consistently remained my favorite in town since it opened. I absolutely love the crab-cakes they are the best I've ever eaten and hands dow n have turned me into somewhat of a crab-cake snob. The fillet is also delicious but it's hard for me to veer away from the crab. Last weekend, I also had a cup of the corn crab chowder, it did not disappoint! The martinis are a very special treat as well. I have always received top notch service and the owner is a delight.

I order calamari and a wedge salad, it was top tier. The calamari was super fresh, I thought I teleported to Maine. The establishment is cozy. I was skeptical being the only African American there at the time but everybody was super friendly and I felt comfortable. The highlight was : the manager running outside in the cold to bring me Marinara sauce! That gesture really made my day! I'll definitely be back

Our party of three ate dinner here tonight. We received excellent service. My husband had his sweet tea filled quickly - and many times. I had Chicken Fried Green Tomatoes. Hubby had rib eye and our guest had salmon. All of it was delicious and dine right. The restaurant is small and everyone is attentive to the needs of customers. I've been here at least three times in the last few years and will be back.

Since it was Mother's Day, we expected a long wait, but to our surprise, we were seated quickly. This is a large restaurant up on a hill with plenty of parking and a warm, welcoming feel. It was clean, and our greeter was kind. Our waitress was patient as we took our time deciding what to order, and we also placed a to-go order for my aunt. There was a small mix-up with the food, but it was quickly resolved with no fuss. My mom ordered the fried flounder with fries and coleslaw, and I had the same, but swapped the fries for fried okra. My husband went all out with a ribeye steak, fried scallops, fried okra, a side salad, and a bowl of clam chowder. The fish was fried perfectly--just a tad more salt would have made it ideal (though that's an easy fix), and next time I'll remember to ask for tartar sauce or hot sauce. The okra was crispy and satisfying, and the standout for my husband was the clam chowder, which I agree was rich and flavorful. More than the food, this place holds special memories for my mom, and now it holds one for me too. It's the kind of spot that becomes part of the family story. Every time we're in town, I'll be sure to take her back--for the fish, the view, and the memories.

The atmosphere had that nostalgic charm that's hard to fake -- soft warm lighting, classic comfort-food smells drifting through the air, and the kind of relaxed, familiar vibe where you instantly feel at home. The fried chicken was phenomenal -- perfectly golden and crispy on the outside with juicy, flavorful meat underneath. That crunchy seasoned coating had the kind of homemade taste that instantly reminds you why classic Southern comfort food never goes out of style. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich with smooth gravy poured generously over top, and the coleslaw added the perfect cool, tangy balance to the plate. Even the biscuit tasted fresh from the oven -- buttery, fluffy and impossible not to finish. This wasn't trendy food trying too hard. It was authentic, comforting, soul-satisfying cooking served in a place that feels frozen in time in all the right ways. Like an old-school Friday night dinner spot where the recipes haven't changed in decades because they never needed to.

I am unsure what the difference was. It seemed to have less vinegar, and the spices seemed different. It was tasty though. The biscuit was really good, and I liked the potato salad. Chicken was tasty too, crisp, and not overly salty. I am attaching a photo..

We decided to get the chicken pesto and filet entrees and split them. For starters the risotto and broccolini is so good it melts in your mouth. The chicken pesto is cooked perfectly and very moist. The au jus sauce that came with it rocked my taste buds!! I dipped everything in it. The fried okra was absolutely the best I've ever had. The mashed potatoes were good also. Needless to say the $51 dollar steak meal was delicious and absolutely worth it!! We appreciate Ashley for serving us and offering recommendations for our next visit. She also made our Golden Rum Punch and Mistletoe Martini. The venue is established in an old building with a really cool set up inside. Absolutely the best place to eat in Danville!

Living in California now and being an Elite Yelper, I've explored a good amount of my authentic, mom n pop Mexican food. I asked my mom if she had tried this place and she said no. That was my cue to come on in and check it out! The restaurant and the store are both connected and I assume owned by the same people so after I placed my order for Quesabirria Tacos, I browsed the store to see what's good. In the store I found these fruits purée canned drinks (so good but hella sugar in them - which is fine too. Just don't say you weren't warned haha) and got like 4 different flavors (strawberry banana, guava nectar, and pineapple coconut). All delicious. Highly recommend. The service was good. The young ladies helped me pick out my drinks and were super sweet. Now, the quesabirria tacos...They're not the best but the meat was very tender and the price was very affordable so I don't feel like it was a waste. I would still go back and try other things. I feel there could have been more cheese and more flavor in the beef. My tortilla was also very soft/floppy. Like I said....I'd still come back and give them one more try!
