These guys are a family owned business, and have been around for more than 20 years. Over time, they expanded from the back corner of Ivy Place. In fact, part of the store is where the old Spoons and Spice location used to be. Tastees has all kinds of Eastern European baked goods, cheeses and meats, imported shelf staples, etc. Nice treats too! The day I stopped by, they had just restocked their Milka chocolates, and there was a broad selection to choose from. They have a neat display case of nesting dolls and various decor items that I enjoyed looking at. We first arrived at a late hour and discovered that their remaining prepared foods were 1/2 price. The salmon bento and croquettes were still tasty. The next time we made it during their lunch hour of 10-2 and also tried their noodles. My daughter got the udon and loved it, and it was very reasonably priced at $5.99. The owners are friendly and chatted with us too. Parking is easy and its not too far from downtown.
