Looks pretty nice park, there is two playgrounds in two different areas of the park. One for larger kids and another toddler friendly one. I like that there are benches under a shaded area. Im not sure how it is in the evening, but it's 2pm and there are a few homeless out here hanging out. I'm assuming because there are restrooms. The park is open surrounded by lots of homes

3.5 stars! This…read morepark has a decent walking trail but I will preface it with 1) the majority is dirt or concrete 2) many people don't seem to pick up after their dogs so you will see dog poop in certain areas. I am always on the hunt for a park with a good walking trail as I have been spoiled with padded tracked parks. One loop is about 0.6 miles. The park also has a community center for classes and renting meeting rooms, along with several tennis courts. There is a small playground area on the upper level. Parking is plentiful. Overall, I will come back again if in the area.

She was out of breath but needed the exercise badly including me. This way I can spend some time with her and look at what God created for us. There is a diamond up here to play softball, a picnic area and throughout the walking path there are little exercise areas to additional things. Down below they have tennis courts and basketball courts and other buildings for group and community activities. Lots of shaded areas to bring your pups for walks. Beware there are rattlesnakes and coyotes that you may come across but leave them be and you'll survive. Don't feed the coyotes because they'll come back to the area for food where you're not there and potentially prey on other unsuspecting peeps.

La Mirada Community Park in La Mirada, California has a really lively and refreshing atmosphere…read morethat I enjoyed when I visited with someone. I saw a lot of teenagers there, and the whole place feels energetic in a way that teenagers would love. The open fields, walking areas, and places to sit don't cost anything at all, which makes it easy to relax and have fun without needing a plan. I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and saw how naturally welcoming the park feels. It surprised me how comfortable it was to just be there without feeling rushed. Even though it's just a community park, it gives teenagers a great place to hang out, take pictures, play sports, or just be creative outdoors. I only visited La Mirada Community Park one time in my life before making this review, but it ended up being one of the most relaxed and youthful places I've been to in a long time. I never doubted that the experience would turn out the way I hoped it would. I've lived for 24 years, but in the summer of 2024 I learned that I'm still physically and mentally 18 years old, and that my prefrontal cortex is more developed than the average 25‑year‑old's. Maybe that's why I connect so much with places that feel playful and full of energy. I would highly recommend that teenagers go to this park because it gives them a fun, open space to enjoy themselves and feel creative.

There are multiple baseball fields as well as a disc golf course, which was cool to see. Another big plus is that parking is free and plentiful!

Probably biggest size park in fullerton or around the local area. I was looking for the Dog Park on OC site & couldn't find it!! =/ But we wanted to take our dog to at least somewhere to play ball. Found this place via google. Yes they do allow dogs, but sign says must be on leash. Only saw one other dog around park. I think I said everything in my check in. And heres plenty of parking. Not sure if you should go here alone there, it seems a little iffy with all the guys around. 2 Stars because of safety.

This is a hidden gem in Fullerton!…read more It's got a pool, skate park, kid play area, exercise stations, basketball court and racquetball courts. That's quite a lot to offer the community and still be in pretty decent shape. It's probably not always the safest area but it's not that bad. I come here for the racquetball courts. There are 4 courts which cost $10 per hour and there is even a balcony where you can watch the games down below. That's pretty cool but it sucks that if you try to hit off of the back wall your ball may go to another court so be careful. The floors and walls are in good condition and taken care of. I've actually seen a lot worse. They even have little lockers outside of the courts so you aren't tripping over anything while on the court. I just wish the hours were more flexible for the courts. Right now I believe they are open until 9 M-Th, 6:30 on Fri/Sat, and closed Sundays. (53/100)

Right now the cherry blossoms are in full, breathtaking bloom, turning parts of the park into a dreamy pink wonderland. The wildlife is thriving too: squirrels galore that are so bold they'll walk right up to your feet if you sit still and stay calm. On warmer days I've spotted rattlesnakes scurrying across the trails, so I always recommend staying in the middle of the paths as a safety precaution. From the main entrance at Colima Road, you can choose the paved walkway or head straight for the dirt trails depending on your mood. I usually make my way toward the horse stables and equestrian area -- watching the horses get fed or running around their enclosures is one of my favorite parts. Just be mindful of the occasional big mounds of horse droppings on the trails; it's a small price to pay for the beauty. The park is generally very clean, with plenty of trash cans scattered throughout. There are numerous benches, picnic areas, fire pits perfect for groups, a children's playground, and even a seasonal creek with several charming wooden bridges crossing directly over it (though the water is pretty dry now that the rainy season is over). You'll also notice signs posted along the trails warning about bobcats and mountain lions. I've been coming here regularly for six months and haven't heard or seen any myself, but I've seen quite a few hikers carrying pepper spray as a precaution. Just be safe out there. Weekends get busy with families celebrating birthdays and enjoying the outdoors, but it's all part of the lively atmosphere. For dog lovers, there are two fantastic off-leash dog parks right near the front entrance -- one for large dogs and one for medium/small dogs. Outside of those areas, dogs must be on leash per the signs. The hilltop trails offer absolutely stunning panoramic views that make every visit worthwhile. My only heads-up: the park is officially closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (per LA County rules), but a lot of locals park across the street at the nearby mall and walk in through the gates anyway. If you're in the Rowland Heights/Hacienda Heights area and looking for a beautiful regional park with trails, nature, horses, cherry blossoms, and those lovely wooden bridges over the creek, I highly recommend Schabarum. Just bring water, wear good shoes, keep an eye out for those snakes in the summer, and stay aware on the trails! 5/5 -- I'll definitely be back soon.
