Passed by this Latin spot with the family just walking the streets and after much thought agreed there was something for everyone in my group of veggies/vegans and Peruvian omnivores.
Surprised to find so many vegan and vegetarian options:
Nachos (veggie)
Cheese taqueños (veggie)
Yucca frita (vegan if you go without the huancaina sauce)
Veggie tacos (vegan)
Mushroom fajitas (vegan if you skip the cheese sauce)
Veggie burrito (vegan)
Veggie fried rice (vegan!)
Cesar salad (veggie)
Caprese salad (veggie)
Asparagus salad (vegan)
I opted for the veggie arroz chaufa - Peruvian-style fried rice (and a draft Sagres).
My daughter opted for the veggie burrito (and Sagres)
Rice was solid.
Really loved the fried yucca on top.
Rice was loaded with cherry tomato, green peppers, carrots, and red onion.
Overall flavors were good, but the rice was a little oily (?).
No real complaints as I ended up full and happy. I actually couldn't finish (and I was hungry).
Tried the veggie burrito, but preferred the flavor of my rice.
FWIW - I heard the steak (lomo saltado) and chicken burrito bowl were good.
Tempted to go three in this review, but for vegan and veggie options/variety ( plus overall variety of the menu) + the service going to go four.
Hey! I'm in a good mood after this meal. read more
