I go here nearly every week and couldn't see that I've reviewed this place. My favorite dish here is the chicken fajitas. Unbelievable and tasty. I also often order the plat chico (one item combo with rice and beans) I usually have a chalupa, tostada, or sopito. You can't go wrong. It's family owned and has been open for 30 years for good reason. The servers are always friendly and prices reasonable. The ambiance is festive, and lively with lots of colors, especially right now with all the Christmas decorations. They have great takeout food as well. For the most part, I'd call this great American/Mexican or TexMex foos, but go there and decide for yourself. Definitely give it a try. read more

I'm going to give them 4 stars.. I wouldn't say it was the BEST I've ever had but it for sure was not the worst. They had a great lunch menu, lots of choices.They seemed busy when we were in. The customer service here is awesome! There is always a happy friendly server to greet you and the owner is usually available as well. The Mexican food here is delicious! We come here often for pollo asada and the fajita plates that are big enough to be shared. This morning we stopped by for breakfast and they did not disappoint! Husband ordered the huevos ranchero plate and it came with three eggs over easy with salsa and cheese sauce, plus rice, beans and fresh corn tortillas-amazing! I ordered the 2 item combo-which was a great value! I ordered a chicken chimichanga and a beef burrito. The plate also came with rice and beans. They both were cooked and seasoned perfectly! The serving was huge and my husband and I agreed that we could probably share the plate next time. The service and the food are consistent and that's what makes us want to come back! read more

Traveling through Sunnyside, WA and needed some dinner. Figured I'd give this place a try... I just had the Carne Asada Monday special & it was delicious. The corn tortillas were just right. - Ordered food for my sister's graduation party. They told us they could not deliver, even though they've done so in the past. - Arrived at the restaurant to pick up, and the woman asked if I had a big car because the food was literally in a heated plastic box the six of a gun safe. Of course it doesn't fit in our car. - My mom calls from home upset because not only did they say they could not deliver, the food also doesn't fit. When asked why they couldn't have delivered, they said, we don't have keys to the vans. Unmmm, ok. - After talking with my mom again, and taking all the food out of the gun safe and making a huge mess out of everything, they decide to just deliver the food. All of a sudden there are keys! They load the fun back into the plastic box gun safe and load it into the vans. The bill was $260 for awful attitudes and an hour of stress taken from my life. Mexican Food! love it, I'm mexican! This place is a good place to eat. I was not impressed, but I did enjoy my food. "I ate it I'll rate it", I ordered a Macho Burrito with my choice of meat ground beef, it came topped with Burrito sauce on top and small amount of shredded iceberg lettuce and one big dollop of sour cream and Surprise!...ground "Parmesan Cheese" (eww- to the ground Parm). I ordered a side of guacamole to put on top of my Macho Burrito. I don't recall if chopped tomatoes were on top, some shredded yellow cheese was on top which I may of ordered or it came with it? I ordered refried beans and (Spanish/ Mexican ) rice on the side with cheese on top of the refried beans. Choose a Virgin Piña Colada to drink. The burrito sauce on top of Burrito tasted similar to Campbell's tomato soup.The burrito was large and the ground beef was finely ground with a good flavor to it. I noticed the rice on my side order of refried beans and rice (in burrito also...) was boring and tasteless when eaten alone. The refried beans were almost thick with a great taste. The rice was lightly coated with the usual light orange ish red color here and there. The rice the restaurant uses was Very Plain like from a Rice a Roni Spanish rice flavor type mix. No that mix has more flavor but not as good of soft plump rice grains that the restaurant had. The restaurants grains of rice were not sticky or dry or thin and hard they were soft and plump. Sadly the rice did not have much if any of a flavor to them at all and each grain sat alone. ( Inside the burrito as well) No sticking to a buddy grain of rice.Poor rice grains just rolled off your fork. Luckily the refried beans stuck the rice grains together. The side order of refried beans beans and rice I asked for cheese on top of my beans. The plate arrived with very generous amounts of cheese on top of the beans and the rice. The grains of Rice were happy it held all the grains together the side dish was tastey when eaten all together on my fork. The Virgin Pina Colada drink was perfect the ice was finely ground and the drink was topped with 3" high of whip cream and a maraschino cherry on top of that! The chips for the salsa were not too thick or thin but just right they had salt on them. I've never had lightly salted chips before. Good salsa not too thick and not watery and just the right amount of onion, cilantro and flavor. The restaurant was very full, the servers were friendly but busy inside had a cozy easy going homey feeling. There at the time were a lot of content people inside some whom seemed to know one another and were chatting across tables about common interests in town. A Bar is attached I heard laughing I was near to the bar wall and window where I could view bar patrons. I would go again and ask for no Parmesan on top of the Macho Burrito. read more

I do not like to give poor reviews but unfortunately... Spendy, bland food! Everything tasted the same...no flavor! Their sauce they put over my burrito had color but it looked really watered down and no flavor. The chalupa I had did not have flavor. Their chips they give before you receive your meal were gross tasting. My husband thought maybe they were over fried. I don't know what it was. Usually Mexican restaurant are pretty decent priced but this was not the case especially for the quality. I paid $12 for a burrito and chalupa and left most of it there. I've been to other Mexican restaurant that charge $8 or $9 for the same food. The waitress was nice but got a little busy with other customers and didn't get back to us for a while. She came back by, filled our water glasses and apologized for not getting back to us sooner. Very nice girl. I will not go back to this restaurant and will not recommend it due to the flavorless food. read more

Best Mexican food in Washington so far, but since most of that time was in Seattle it wasn't much of a challenge. However, the pollo con arroz was tasty, once it cooled down from the crazy hot temperature it was served at. The burrito carne asada was decent as well. Server was very friendly and enjoyable. The oil only complaints were that we were a bit rushed (it was not crowded at all) and the cook seems quite fond of oregano. Every dish, even the salsa, had that as a standout flavor. In a word, "YUMMY!" I really LOVED this place! One of the best in Sunnyside that we tried! Forget Jack in the Box and Burger Ranch (both have health issues), try this place!
