I noticed online that they offer mac and cheese and wanted to add it to my order, but I was told it would not be ready for a while. Since it was already past lunch time, that was a little surprising. One thing they do well is portion size. The serving was very generous and easily enough for more than one meal. They are not shy with the oxtail gravy, and that gravy was rich and flavorful. The rice and peas were also solid, well cooked and nicely balanced. Where the experience fell short was the jerk chicken. Authentic jerk should have bold seasoning, depth, heat, and that unmistakable smoky flavor from proper preparation. This tasted more like baked chicken with minimal seasoning. It lacked the spice profile and complexity that defines true jerk. For a dish that is meant to be the highlight, it simply did not deliver. Overall, the portions and sides show promise, but when you are craving authentic Jamaican jerk, flavor is everything. That signature kick and seasoning just were not there.
