Steak Enchilada Trio
CandiAnne T.

Ordered steak enchiladas and a chicken chimichanga through DoorDash.. The Steak was nothing but salt, I used the rice and beans to diminish the salt level in my mouth. The chicken chimichanga had absolutely no flavor of any kind. This was one of the worst meals I've ever had. Will not get food from here again

Combo Meal, 2 tacos and 1 sopes lunch combination & 3 Sopes

Arrived for a late lunch with my mom (2pm) and we were seated immediately. You can dine-in or order up front to go. They have indoor & outdoor seating (they are also dog friendly if eating outside). When dining in, you get free chips and salsa at the table. My mom ordered the lunch combo meal of 2 tacos, 1 Sope with rice and beans. She said the rice was cooked perfectly and the food was really good. I ordered 3 Sopes and it was very good! The service was great, our meal was affordable and it was worth the money! The restaurant was clean & there's plenty of seating for larger parties. Will come again!

Beef chimichanga

This chimichanga was so good. Wish I had room in plate for more rice and beans. It is my third time having one in my life and it did not spoil. Everything was fresh, made with love and the staff was awesome.

Stopped in for lunch. I was greeted when I walked in. My waitress was nice. The place is on the smaller side. I was brought chips and salsa to start. The salsa was great. I also got a chorizo quesidilla. The quesidilla did not take too long to come out and was large. The chorizo was good, but I have had better. I would come again and try something else next time.

1 Flour Quesadilla Lunch Combination

Tasty lunch spot but nothing extremely memorable as far as I am concerned. The prices are definitely spot on though. The mid week specials are hard to beat according to my wallet anyways. The servers are really nice and do a good job getting everyone served in a timely fashion. The restaurant itself is very small (probably 8-10 tables) so quick turnover is likely key as the place definitely seemed busy on a Tuesday afternoon. The food itself really didn't wow me. The free chips and salsa were my favorite part. The rice and beans were mostly bland and the tacos and quesadillas were good. Nothing extraordinary. The toppings were fresh and your typical findings. Cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream. Read: stuff I could easily get from Publix and stuff inside a homemade taco. No fancy slaws or salsas to be found here. All in all, it made for a fairly satisfying lunch. It's not something I would ever envision myself craving or seeking out again. If I had to guess, I would say the popularity is mainly due to the price point but maybe I missed something? There are arguably better Mexican joints around Deland.

Chicken Burritos

First time but won't be the last. Stopped here for a quick lunch today. Service was super friendly and bilingual, location was quaint but super easy to locate. I ordered the Chicken Burrito and Liza the Chimichanga. Both were Huge and Delicious. Made with fresh ingredients full of flavor... Definitely check this place out...

This restaurant is a great family-owned, local place. The interior is clean and staff is always friendly. I've tried a couple different items off of their menu but this time I ordered a chorizo burrito. The portion was adequate for the price you pay, and I appreciated how the "wet" Ingredients like the sour cream, lettuce, and tomato were served on the side from the actual burrito. It made reheating the left overs very convenient. The only drawbacks were that the chorizo was on the saltier side, and there weren't any utensils or napkins in the take out container I received.

Taco Tuesday's Five tacos for $5

Everything is homemade and delicious. I recommend the hard tacos the shells are made by hand and are delicious. The hot sauce and green sauces are so good! The are taking dine-in right now. They wore masked the whole time!! The chicken and pork where really good and the ground beef!!! The strawberry water as they call it is really good!! A must stop!!

Birria Tacos

I got food from here door dashed for cinco de Mayo..... I searched for somewhere in my area with birria tacos because I've been wanting to try them for a while and haven't yet. This place had them on the menu so I had to order them. It took forever for my order to get finished and picked up probably because it was Cinco de Mayo so that's OK. I also ordered a side of chips, queso & guacamole. Everything was delicious. The only thing I can complain about. Is that the tacos weren't crispy and a little soggy. I know that's because I got it delivered. I put them in a frying pans at home to crisp them up and that did the trick.... Next time I'm gonna go and eat there for the best experience........ Maybe then I can give 5 stars! All in all very good food!!!!!

2 flour supreme (beef) tortilla special with rice and beans. Chips and salsa too!

Hospitality was top notch. We had a reservation and were sat right away at a table near the kitchen. I love when you can see into the kitchen and watch everything. You know that's a restaurant that trusts what they make and has nothing to hide. Our server was AMAZING. He was the kindest guy and constantly made sure we had everything we needed. He made our night with his fun energy. The food was phenomenal. The restaurant provides elevated boiled peanuts on the table to snack. The flavor was great. I ordered the jumbo lump crab cakes that comes with 2 decent size crab cakes packed with crab meat. As sides, I ordered the caesar brussels and potatoes. The sides were great and the potatoes were a combination of different potatoes which I liked. My mom had the chicken and dumplings and she had rave reviews to give. This is a great spot for a date night, a place to make a dinner feel more elevated, or to celebrate something. Thank you for the great experience and service.

All three dishes were well thought out and executed. I want to go back soon! The atmosphere was very cozy and modern, service was attentive. Kinda feel back I forgot to take more photos before tearing into my meal...

The Diavola had a nice kick and felt a little adventurous in a good way. The Pepperoni was solid and reliable, exactly what you expect. Now the calzone... not for me. I was expecting a classic cheese-forward situation, but this was more of a chaotic mash-up of ingredients that didn't quite come together. Felt like a pizza identity crisis folded in half. The crust is worth noting, it has that cornmeal-style texture. If you like a slightly gritty, rustic bite, you'll be into it. Overall, good flavor, just know what you're ordering. Next time, I'm sticking to the pizzas and leaving the calzone in the box.

Review: Great Pizza, but the Dessert and "Default" Tips Left a Sour Taste…read more Rating: 3-Stars My sister and I were having a "Sister Day" in DeLand and decided to stop by Urban Brick after seeing a brick-oven pizza on someone's table that looked incredible. The Vibe & The Food: The place is super quaint and nicely decorated with both indoor and outdoor seating. Even after 2 PM, it was packed, which is usually a great sign! We shared a 12" Artisanal Margherita Pizza. If you like NYC-style thin crust but with that specific brick-oven char, you'll love this. The sauce was a bit on the sweeter side, which was a surprise, but it actually worked really well. Definitely a solid pizza. The "Foodie" Letdown: However, as a seasoned foodie who has been to plenty of places, I was really disappointed by the value and service at the end of the meal. I ordered a Tiramisu to go ($11), which is my favorite dessert. When I got home and opened the container, I was in total awe--it was arguably the smallest piece of cake in history. For that price point, I've had much better for much less. It was a major letdown after a good pizza. Service & "The Tip" Situation: The service also didn't quite hit the mark for me. Our waitress brought the menu, took the order, and delivered the food, but that was it. No check-in to see how the food was or if we needed refills. As a foodie, I appreciate the "hospitality" side of dining, and this felt very transactional. To top it off, when the paper check came, I noticed the suggested tip calculations at the bottom started at 20%, 25%, and 30%. They completely opted out of showing the standard 15% or 18% options. While I know I can calculate my own, it felt a bit forced. Giving a 20%+ tip at a fancy restaurant for attentive service is one thing, but for a meal where the server never checked back on us, it felt misplaced. The Verdict: The pizza and the area are great, but the experience was dampened by the tiny dessert and the pushy suggestions on the check. It's an "FYI" for those who value the full dining experience--come for the pizza, but maybe skip the Tiramisu and keep an eye on those tip percentages! Yelp Tip: Margherita pizza is excellent and perfectly thin! Foodie Warning: The Tiramisu portion is tiny for $11, and the printed check suggestions skip the 15%/18% options.

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.
