She made it clear she wasn't making anymore doughnuts, and the store is closed for tomorrow. Why act like new customers are such an inconvenience? It's actually kind of remarkable how she could make shopping for a treat a bad time. So my conclusion is this. The doughnuts are good, the lady is a bit of a bear, and her customer service is scat.

For a few minutes we tried to tell her exactly what a sweetheart cake is and what we wanted on it. She sort of shoo'd us away and told us to go look at the crusty, fake cakes on display in the shop. We left instead. I was so disappointed in her customer service that I'm giving her two stars. Her selection of product is great. Once you get beyond the looks the cake was decidedly average. The cake itself was fine. It was neither poor nor distinguished. Just an average cake, probably about like you'd get at a super market. It's clear they're not using some world-class chocolate here or fantastic ingredients. So if "fine" works for you, I think you'll be pleased. If you're looking for something truly special, I'm afraid this isn't it.
