Let's start with the frozen margaritas that are offered like ice cream and you can get them twisted. Then the barbacoa plate - are you kidding me! Lots of tender meat and delicious with tortillas beans and rice. CoronaRita - all you need. Ribeye was shockingly better than most steakhouses. Wait staff is attentive and pleasant. I wish I had taken a picture of what I ate the last time I came here but I forgot to. It took them a little bit to understand what I wanted, but when they finally brought me the finished product I think I can confidently say that it was the best Mexican food I've had outside of Arizona or Texas. I ordered the enchilada platter or dinner (I forgot what the menu called it) and it said it came with three enchiladas and my choice of sauce. Since I could choose the sauce I decided that I didn't want their red or their green sauces (I don't like tomatillos all that much) so I ordered cheese enchiladas with the creamy poblano sauce that comes on their pollo poblano. If you want Mexican for lunch or dinner, I would recommend this place from my experience. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Our water glasses didn't go empty. The food was served quickly and it was very tasty. The chicken was tender and flavored just right. It sat on top of a bed of Mexican rice and covered with delicious queso sauce. It came with 3-4 corn or flour tortillas and made a perfect combination to the plate. The seating was similar to many restaurants with booths and table seating. Arrived at 1:40pm on a Tuesday. The parking lot was around half full. I was seated upon entering and given a menu. A moment later I was given salsa and chips. I sat and ate the chips while looking over the menu. The salsa had a nice flavor to it. While I looked over the menu my drink order was taken. A tall draft beer. It took me a few minutes to decide. I ordered a combo meal: 1 chicken taco, 1 chicken tostada, which came with beans and rice. Also a chicken enchilada on the side. It took around 10-15 minutes for the food to arrive. I was impressed at the quantity and the taste! I only had two small minor complaints. I opened up the chicken taco to put some salsa in it and found a bay leaf. Although harmless if ingested, usually they are removed after cooking. The last small complaint: the rice tasted bland. I mixed it with the beans and it was better. $23.00 meal. I felt it was worth it. The atmosphere of the place was nice. The butterfly mural and the vegetation hanging from the ceiling. El Cerrito used to be the raving place to go when it came to Mexican food in Coldwater. El Cunado blows them out of the water. The venue is far more spacious, the staff is friendly and the food is TOP NOTCH. I just wish they would be consistent with their Queso.. a thicker queso is where it's at. Highly recommend read more

My daughter, granddaughter, her boyfriend and I went here for lunch on a Saturday. The food was very good but the service was not so good. Had to wait quite some time for our order to be taken, then it took some time to get our food, which as I said, was very good. When we were finished, we had to wait for our bill, when we finally received it, we sat for about 15 minutes and finally went up to the cash register to pay it, our waiter never came back to our table.
