Good school! I personally go here and it's very clean, good teachers, and very good course work.

Every time I have had to come into the office for something it's an inconvenience for her. She rolls her eyes. Gets mad. Slams things down. I can only imagine how she treats the kids if she treats parents this way. She is currently refusing to send records to my son's new school & when I went into Markham to get them she told me she couldn't do that & than proceeded to yell at me when I finally told her she didn't have to be rude - after refusing to answer my questions and consistent eye rolls to my questions. The teachers don't communicate, the principal just brushes you off & says sorry but goes back to bqqing outside the school like he's on vacation instead of actually addressing the issues. We have moved a lot through my son's schooling due to work & this was by far THE WORST experience we have ever had. He was a straight A student the year prior - they changed his IEP - told me they couldn't accommodate etc.. & he failed with no support at school. No summer school option. Nothing was talked about etc.. it was radio silent when I would reach out to his teachers. He was accused of things he wasn't doing & was threatened to have to cops called on him WHEN ANOTHER KID damaged property of the school. I could write a novel on how horrible these people and this school are honestly. Like I said WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. If you want your kids to actually be treated well & have an education- it's definitely not this school.

GOOGLE REVIEWS Sort begladwme 7 reviews · 6 photos We home-schooled our children until High School and we have been so unbelievably blessed to have our children in El Dorado Adventist School. The teachers truly love the students and they are all devoted Christians. All of the students in the school are like a big family. The school has events to promote this unity. Including a mentoring program for the older students with the younger kids. My two senior students are currently in London England for a 10-day senior trip. Is that unbelievable? Tuition is expensive but we make sacrifices all the time for the protection and development of our children. This is just one more. Worth every penny! Top notch acedemics! Unbeatable music program that includes a week-long music tour each spring. My children have been protected from horrible cursing, revealing clothing, drugs, sexual displays, and mean clicks. Also they are not restricted from mentioning God all day long if they want to. I am so very thankful for this school! Susan Moskalets

We have had our daughter at First Friends for two years and LOVE it! One of the main things I have…read moreloved is the consistency with teachers. Ms Maggie (owner) and Ms Araceli have been there for years, which provides stability and keeps the schedule consistent. So many of the schools in this area are like a revolving door with the teachers, which is tough on the kids since they dont really get to know them. This way Araceli has been able to talk with authority on how our daughter has progressed over time. The location is beautiful and they have a fantastic outdoor area that feels natural and structured at the same time. There are so many options for the kids to play on they never get bored. Plus chickens! Maggie hosts farmers markets from the veggies they grow and sells eggs, then uses the money for school projects. It's utterly charming! As for how it's run, I really like how structured it is. This will set your kid up for TK or kinder very nicely as the public schools are all on a firm schedule. So class time is all about jobs and activities, then the kids get to get lots of free play in the yard. They use an app to give picture notices and updates, so I feel very connected to my daughter when she's there and always in the loop about what's happening at school. We provide lunch and Maggie does healthy homemade snacks. Our tuition was way less than where we came from in Sac, so I felt it was a steal. The hours are loosely 8am-2:30pm. But my number one plus is how safe we have felt at first friends. It is hard to trust your kids to the care of someone else, and I have literally never felt one ounce of nervousness leaving my daughter in the capable hands of Ms Araceli or Maggie. We are lucky to have found this school.
