Two experiences with this "print shop" this past week, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. If I could give it zero stars, I would. First, we went in to get something notarized. The woman at the counter (we thought she was an owner) was barely cordial. When my husband did not produce the paperwork quickly enough to suit her she grabbed it from him -- and did the same thing he was doing to find out what and where to sign and did not save a second. We were charged $30.00 for our two signatures. Adding machine tape for a receipt. Not a friendly reception or transaction. Second chance. Family member went in with a flash drive to get an Excel document printed. After a great deal of trying to figure it out and a lot of discussion about the date on the document, the same woman finally got it printed. It took a lot of time that was not necessary. That was frustrating enough. But then ... The ink in the printer almost had run out, so not all of the page was printed properly. When this was brought to her attention, her response was to say that the machine didn't tell them it was out of ink. She just shrugged it off as though it wasn't important, and definitely not her fault because the machine didn't tell her. And then there was no offer to reprint it satisfactorily, and no offer of a discount if we wanted to keep the poor copy. Not even a "here's a 10% off coupon for your next order". Having worked in the printing business for over 20 years, I can say that this was possibly the worst customer service experience I have had at a print shop. I'm headed for the "brand name" places that care about doing a quality job and actually serving their customers' needs. read more

Owner told me that his printing machine was more important than my order and left me hanging in the 11th hour. No call. No offer to make it right. FYI The machine that was down was not the one needed for my job. Sad really... read more

I was so impressed with them. They stayed open after hours on Saturday to accommodate some signs I needed FAST! Got a proof on Sunday, and after a couple of changes the job is done! El Dorado Press is my "go-to" business now of graphics and signs. They've been in business for over 20 years and I can see why. read more

Stay far away if you need copies made. Four dead copiers and one that jammed every 3rd copy and didn't staple. I got the job done easily and quickly at UPS Store nearby. To be fair, they did seem to be doing a lot of signs and banners. read more

Dropped in to print 4 copies today. Asked the owner if there is an email address that I can sent it to (Like Fed Ex does) No problem, he gives me a business card with the address on it, I send it. The wife in the back yells out to me. How many!? I say again, FOUR. The big copier starts going and I walk over to grab the copies. When it's time to pay she starts punching in a bunch of stuff in the register. Finally she says, $4.99. I'm like, "Excuse me!? Why does the sign on the wall says .10 each." So now husband steps in and starts shouting at me that it took her time to process it and the equipment. Umm what??? She opened the email and sent it to the printer. Very labor intensive I guess. Didn't take but 10 seconds. Plus I'm the one that grabbed it from the damn printer! I told him than why wouldn't you have said there was some random fee for that when you gave me the email address. These owners are so rude and have not developed good customer service skills since moving to the US I suppose. read more

I have used El Dorado Blue Print over several years for many many jobs. They have always been fair, helpful and the quality has been terrific. More than once they have redone an entire job of color printing because I didn't feel the color was quite right. These are terrific folks. This is a great independent business. Trust an opinion from someone who has used this company a hundred times or more over several years and not a one-time customer who, for whatever reason, was unhappy.
