I was craving a salty snack in this hot summer day and ordered the hot Cheeto esquite ... I've had this before at other places but never this authentic . Every bite was so flavorful ! The owner stayed true to authentic Mexican esquite and added epazote , which was a game changer for overall flavor. The location was also soo fun they had games to play while you ate and it was a great place to cool down on an almost 100 degree day. Wow! I am soooo happy this place has a brick and mortar shop! I first tried their esquites at a community event and thought I'd have to follow them around LA. Found them on IG and learned that they have a shop! Their corn is sweet and cooked evenly. They don't shy away from the toppings. Environment is modern, comfortable, and welcoming. Delicious find in Long Beach! The half and half was so good but spicier than I thought because they use extra hot Cheetos on top of the cayenne sprinkled on top, but still so good! Love that they used paper to-go containers instead of styrofoam. Thought the strawberry horchata was yummy, but the strawberry syrup was too sweet for me - my husband liked it. The Mangolada 16 oz was just enough sweetness for a dessert. Could've done without the sour belt and sour gummy candy but I know my kids would've liked it. The location isn't the greatest busy intersection and street parking. The customer service was great very friendly owners. The inside was clean and plenty of chairs and tables to sit. The menu was pretty hard to choose from because I wanted everything. I did order a esquite hot Cheeto plate but the hot Cheetos overpowered the food and didn't really enjoy it. I also got a strawberry horchata but I believe they add strawberry syrup. I wasn't to fond of the flavor either. Lastly I ordered a tostilocos with cueritos not gonna lie the only thing I enjoyed were the cueritos (pork skin) I got a total of 4 items and my bill came out close to $50 pretty pricey for all items. I've been wanting to try this place and today was the perfect warm day to get some fruit and corn. I love how instead of just chopped up cucumber pieces it's actually grated strings, the generous amount of lemon, tajin and salt were delicious and refreshing! I got a friend a fruit cup with cucumber, orange with all the toppings, she loved it. The Mac and cheese with esquite was pretty amazing. I will have to try the fries next time. Uhhh and before I forget, the gentleman that helped me was very kind and gave me a sample taste of the mango sorbet, wow I wasn't even interested but gosh after a couple spoon fulls, I became a fan. It can be a bit a of wait as there have only been two working when I've visited, however they've always been very nice and friendly and managed to get the orders out surprisingly quickly. Especially considering that both times there was a steady flow of customers. The overall vibe of the place is very chill. So, the wait goes by quickly. The girl working the counter was very friendly, I love that when you go into a business they acknowledge you right away. But the esquite taste old and the fruit cup was quite interesting with the cucumber shaped like little shot glasses. every fruit tasted different, like they put fruit from other trays into one cup and covered it with candy. The mango was really ripe and the watermelon was old. I just don't think it was worth $20. Also I didn't like that they leave you there while they go to the back and make it.
