I hired Passion for the Pie for my baby shower last week in the middle of an unexpected storm, and they were incredible. From the start, David was quick to reply, patient with all my questions, and very generous about working within my budget. He never made me feel like a bother, even when I texted him multiple times while planning. Booking was simple, receipts were sent right away, and I appreciated that full payment was due 10 days before the event - one less thing to think about on the day. I was anxious about the weather, but they came fully prepared. Even though it was pouring, they showed up cheerful, brought their own pop-up tent, and even had a generator on hand. Thank goodness, because we lost power for about 30 minutes during the event, and they handled it professionally and in good spirits. They arrived a little earlier than scheduled and had everything ready to serve by 2pm. Guests had nothing but positive things to say. The team was friendly and fast, and they fed all 95+ of our guests with plenty left over. They even offered a menu item we didn't order, and people loved it. And the pizza... so good! I'm picky, and even the pickiest people I know were complimenting it. I also liked that they offer different crust options. We didn't end up needing the allergy-friendly option that day, but David had already assured me they could make a dairy-free pizza if needed, which gave me peace of mind. They do provide pizza boxes for leftovers, which is great, but next time I'll ask them not to box everything right away and to just plate it instead. My family tends to swoop in on leftovers, and the pizzas disappeared within minutes while some guests hadn't eaten yet. Not their fault at all, just a tip if you have a (savage) family like mine. It's clear that David and his team care about their work and their customers. I'll absolutely recommend them and look forward to hiring them again. Five stars. I wish they had more pop up dates available because I've been craving their pizza! Sadly, I only had 1-2 slices!

Hired Passion for the Pie for a bday party with about 60 people. Everyone absolutely raved about the pizza. It was really delicious! Their setup was super efficient and professional and I will definitely hire them again. I'm new to LA, but many people commented that pizza was a nice change for this type of catering, which I guess here is often tacos. read more

I hired passion for the pie for my son's high school graduation and the party was a hit. They did an amazing job with creating oven fresh delicious pizzas for our guests. I got the package that included the pasta and salad! The pasta was delicious and my guests couldn't stop raving about the quality of the food, pizza and overall the wonderful customer service by the owners. I am so happy I called Passion for The Pie for my son's birthday celebration. The party had 30 guests, everyone LOVEd the pizza and the variety in options. The pasta and salad are also amazing! The experience of seeing the pizza made fresh right in front of your eyes is entertainment alone for any gathering. David and Pamela are both really nice and have excellent customer service. They both had great demeanor especially for making pizza in 90 degree weather! They made sure the pizza kept coming out and guests weren't waiting for food to be prepared. Communication was excellent and they arrived on time to be ready for when guests arrived. They neatly pack all your leftovers and they do the hard work so you can go ahead and host and enjoy the party. Full payment is required prior to the event, but you can pay with a credit card AND frankly it was nicer to not have to deal with payment during the party. I hate having to be pulled out of the party to deal with that type of stuff. Don't hesitate to hire this well run and talented company! read more

TLDR: THE BEST PIZZA EVER! We had Passion for the Pie cater a birthday party with 150 adults. They were so easy to work with, from the beginning to the end. They helped us come up with a menu for our party and were super flexible in making requested changes. Honestly, we planned to use them again just because of their customer service. BUT once we tried their pizza, we were floored. Their pizza was literally amazing. All of our guests were raving about how they've never had such delicious pizza/met nicer people. Everyone has had a bunch of great pizza in their lives, yet Passion for the Pie's pizza was truly one of the best pizzas people said they ever had. Wow!!! I can't say enough good things about Passion for the Pie. David was so great to work with. He made setting everything up so easy. The price was extremely reasonable. The crew was right on time and went to work setting up and making pies. They were so nice and really worked hard. And the pizza was DELICIOUS! My complex had this last night and it was fantastic! We ordered 2 Americano pizzas and we asked for 1 to be drizzled with the hot honey which definitely elevated the pizzas. The 2 pizzas fed 3 people and it took about 10-15 for it to be cooked. The staff was very friendly, especially the girl in the front taking our order. Overall a great experience. read more

We used Passion for the Pie for a bar mitzvah celebration last weekend. David and his crew were very responsive leading up to the event with multiple back and forth calls and emails. They took care of all of the food for a party of 150 people and I was concerned about people waiting in line for the initial rush, but the crew handled it with ease and continued to bring fresh pizzas throughout the afternoon. The pizza was great and the service was fantastic and the price was very competitive. They offered gluten free options for our guests with allergy issues as well. I had this for dinner the other night after work when they came to a nearby apartment complex in Irvine. They definitely live up to their name because they put the Passion in the pie. The dough was homemade and the toppings were fresh as well. It was pretty cool to see the pizza evolve from a ball of dough to an amazing pizza in a matter of minutes. They came to my apartment complex and the pizza was excellent. Tried it twice now and both times the pizza did not disappoint. Hired them to host my party of around 40 guests. They are very professional. They arrived on time to see up the oven and heat it up. They also setup ezup and tables to serve the pizzas. The serving area was nicely decorated and the pizzas they cooked were very delicious. We had BBQ chicken, Hawaiian, Taco Pizza, vegetarian, Rocky road (was a hit amongst the kiddos), and one more pizza that I don't remember.. all the pizzas were so tasty that my guests were scarfing them slice after slice. I highly recommend them and will be using them again for future parties. Also, they are priced reasonably. Not the cheapest, but they deliver quality food and service. read more

Passion for the Pie was AMAZING!!!! We had a weekend event and hired them for unlimited pizza of 4 different kinds for 2 hours. They were so speedy with set up and started cranking out pizza like a machine! They even started creating customizable pizza with leftover ingredients they had. To top it off, our event was during HORRIBLE rain. Despite the weather, they truly delivered the best pizza with a smile. Would 100% hire them again and recommend!!!!!! read more

They came by my apartment about a month ago go and I'm still thinking about the pizza! Service was great and the pizzas were amazing. They're a bit on the pricer side for what you get in terms of pizza size but they're absolutely worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. I hope you come by again! read more

In closing: I understand Fruit Me has to make a living and they have to pay for the fruit but that price for only (2) kinds of fruit didn't sit well with me... Best wishes to the Fruit Me Truck. BUT I'm gonna do business with Fresh Fruit La More moving forward!

The dude looked at me like that's it and I'm like yeah just trying you out. The carne asada taco was good 7/10 but the cabeza taco was amazing 9/10. It looks like the corn tortillas are hand made and there's all the essentials on the side. Dude was right I should of ordered more tacos lol. No worries I'll be back next Tuesday :) Tacos are $3 each and there's a small dining table good for like 4 people to share.

Unfortunately, this place hasn't evolved to meet the challenges and match the competition. The food is not bad, don't get me wrong, but it's not worth going out of your way for it. There is plenty of street parking and lots of tables in an open space area. Bring sweaters and jackets if the weather calls for rain or it's cold. The seating area is under the roof but there are no walls to protect you from the wind.

I found this place because I wanted to find a good place that catered Korean food. I'm not Korean but sometimes wish I was since the food is so good. First things first, if you're reading this and do not know Korean, know that the owner knows limited English. If you go see her, ask for her son, Jason, and she'll give you his phone number to coordinate. Jason was a lifesaver and helped me order everything. He was easy to work with, patient and understanding. I had no issues coordinating with him. Then when it came to the food, I got bulgogi, marinated chicken, kimchi fried rice and kimbap to serve about 35 people for a total of $650 so it came out to just shy of $20/person . As you can see prices are pretty high but its Korean food and the meat is grade A quality, tender and the fat has been trimmed so its somewhat expected. Also even feeding that many people we had quite a bit of left overs. I've eaten it the last two dinners and still enjoy it as much as the first day! The food was prepared on time, well packaged and everything. Oh and they prefer cash for best price. Try them out and you won't be disappointed!

I highly, highly recommend Passion for the Pie. I used them for a birthday party and they were there early to ensure everything was ready to go by the time we wanted dinner served. The food was delicious and they had an excellent selection of pizzas and pastas to choose from. Most importantly, their service was top notch and they were as professional as you can get.
