One of my favorite Publix stores. It has practically everything you need: fresh produce, delicious…read morebakery items, good wine selections, all different kinds of beer, well stocked shelves of various cultures of ethnic foods, fresh flowers, pharmacy, pet food, frozen meals, small toys and birthday cards, popcorn, sodas, and a fantastic deli. I have found the cashiers and staff to be friendly and helpful over the years. Parking is easy on the side of the store, just drive up the ramp to the second floor. The escalator is steps away from the parking lot to take you right down to the inside of the store where the carts are waiting for you. There is also street parking. Next door is Wells Fargo for your convenience. I don't live close by anymore but whenever I'm in the Edgewater area, I like to stop in. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their prices tend to be on the high side.

Errors at the deli, unorganized shelves, unclean floors and restrooms, and numerous pets on every single visit (despite the signs at entrances saying NO). You can often see ten or more pets inside as you shop. Twice I've witnessed some peeing on bottom shelf items. The restroom condition is pretty nasty.

Price choice most definitely beats publix on the cost of vegetables and meat. If that's all you're shopping for, and you're not too picky, this is your place. For all other goods ( toiletries, dairy, breads, frozen foods, cereals..) you're most likely better off at Publix ( especially on the buy one, get one free items). Price choice has a wide selection of items but they're a bit more pricey on the popular brands and you'll find a much better selection at Publix. I love that Price Choice has easy in and out parking. Very convenient. Publix, on the other hand can be quite the disaster when the garage is packed. Best of all, Price Choice is open 24 hours a day and also on Holidays! (Publix closes on all national holidays).

I am a regular customer at Price Choice at 1851 NE 2nd Avenue, but my experience during the night…read moreshift on September 15, 2026, left me embarrassed and unwelcome. After being inside the store, I returned to my car in the parking lot to think through what I needed to buy. The manager, whose name I understood to be Dian, approached my car with a security guard. He said someone had accused me of following them. I denied it and asked what he was talking about. He told me I could not stay there too long and had to leave. I went back inside to buy what I needed. At checkout, we had another argument. I said, "This is America; it's a free country," and he responded, "This is not Haiti." I am not Haitian, and I do not understand why he brought Haiti into the conversation. Regardless of anyone's nationality, that remark was inappropriate and disrespectful. The security guard witnessed the exchange and had a camera, although I do not know whether it was recording. I felt so embarrassed that I left without purchasing the items I had selected. This was my second unpleasant encounter with the same manager. About two weeks earlier, on a Sunday night, I arrived approximately 20 minutes before closing. He followed me while repeatedly saying, "We're closing," making me feel rushed and unwelcome. I ask ownership to investigate these incidents and preserve and review any available recordings from the parking lot, checkout area, and security guard's camera. Customers deserve respectful treatment without comments about their actual or assumed nationality.
