For entrees we had a rib eye steak and grilled salmon with a caper sauce. All of the dishes exceeded our expectations. The menu is written in Spanish and our waiter spoke limited English. Our ability to communicate in Spanish is very limited. While it would seem that this combination of language challenges would make for a difficult situation; it really did not. This is due to our great waiter. His willingness to patiently listen to us and to explain the menu to the best of his ability actually added to the great experience we had at La Cancilleria. If you are in the Brownsville area and you enjoy top notch food experiences, head across the border to La Cancilleria. We took an Uber to the border and walked to the restaurant.
