She proudly…read morerecommended us to Almosta - even handing over their business card which she keeps in her wallet. The first night we arrived and could not get a table as they have two set service times; the 8:30pm and 10:30pm - we booked for the following night. As 8:30 approached we found ourselves twiddling our thumbs eager to get to the restaurant and see what this little gem had to offer. You can tell we aren't Spanish as bang on 8:30 we arrived to the restaurant and found ourselves the only ones.... This was a blessing in disguise as it meant we had the host all to ourselves to which he translated EVERY dish on the menu and talked us trough the various wines they had available. We tried quite a few of the dishes including my favourite - the pop roquer, a large piece of succulent octopus served on a bed of mashed potatoes. I also enjoyed the Durham cat which was a thin wrap of spinach, pine nuts and cheese. Everything we ordered was immaculately presented, with tastes to match - my only issue was that it ended ;) Give it a go when in Tarragona!

We did because the reviews were so great, and sooooo true. Food gets 5 STARS no doubt. Clams AMAZING delicious sauce, and perfect for dipping that bread. Tomato salad a MUST, soooo good and fresh. Octopus was delicious, and the potata Mallman also a delight. And the pork was just ok, but the sauce it was in, I loved!

Had lunch one afternoon here while in the city. We sat outside as it was a beautiful sunny day and…read moretheir outside dining area was open. We were greeted walking in and told to sit where we liked. Our server came by a few minutes later with menus. After a couple minutes to go over the offerings, we started with a bowl of the local olives. Always a good start and a generous serving that was plenty to share. I opted for the mediterrean salad, with egg battered calamari. Both were very good. The salad a nice mix of greens, tomato, olives, pickled asparagus and onions, sweet red pepper, boiled egg and tuna. The salad was fresh, flavorful and filling. The egg batter fried calamari was golden brown and flavorful. A coffee to finish, after the meal was a great leisurely way to end. Sitting in the sun, taking it all in while enjoying a meal makes Quattros a decent choice. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the location and outdoor seating 01067

Okay mixed review here…read more First, the patatas bravas here we're the best I had while in Spain! The serving size was great for sharing or for a really hungry person. The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and whatever the sauce was that topped them was delicious. Wish I went back and had them again! The croquettes on the other hand were not my favorite, I had hoped to have some meat stuffing on the inside but I believe they were out. So we opted to have it with cheese and the cheese was very interesting, very tangy and liquidy so it was optimal to eat it in one bite, but the cheese was so rich. Quattros is located in a great area of Tarragona, has good amount of outdoor seating, and you can tell it's popular by how it fills up. Would come back, just wouldn't recommend the croquettes solely with cheese.

The waitress was very friendly and although technically lunch isn't served until 1pm (a typical Catalan tradition, especially on Sundays) she offered the menu plus the signage was already out to lure hungry passerbys. This month happens to be a very busy Tarragona Festival and seating in old city is difficult to come by, so it was truly delightful to have open seats, have prompt service & have many options of paella for 1 or 2 people. Note: A lot of places across Spain have a minimum requirement of 2 or more for the kitchen to prepare any paella but just like the name, the Miracle wants you to order individually or to share two different varieties of paella. My foodie tastebuds are very satisfied! Near the end, the manager came by to say "Etas Bien?" Indeed it was! While it might not stand out from curbside appeal, it's definitely a standout experience in the quaint little town of Tarragona!

We were expecting to put our names down but he said he'd remember our faces! The restaurant is right on a beautiful & lively walkway by the sea, so 45 min went by quickly. We were starving by then but the food was definitely yummy - I got the prawn pesto tagliatelle, which was creamy and fresh. My friend got a vegetarian salad, and we both got glasses of red sangria, which was fruity and quite strong lol. I will say they didn't have that many appealing vegetarian options, but that seems to be the case in most of Spain. Service & ambience were on point too, and the owner made an effort to make us feel at home, would recommend this place
