The Wild Harvest Kitchen delivers an excellent light lunch option for Seminole, TX…read more I never had a chance to stop in until today, June 13, 2026 before heading to a family event. The parking lot is a bit funky and there is a humongous pot hole right out front. That was the only pitfall we experienced. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. The women's restroom was clean - and has a baby changing station. Food was delivered to our table within roughly 10 minutes. Meanwhile I suggested to my daughters to keep their mouth shut if they didn't have nice things to say about one another. Sometimes, I wonder if they'll ever truly like each other. But I digress... Here's what we ordered: 2 32oz infused waters = $6.00 Seasonally flavored soda (mango) = $4.00 Tomato basil soup (my youngest loved it) = $8.00 1/2 club sandwich with a small mac n cheese (my oldest ate nearly every single bite) = $8.00 Wild harvest salad with grilled chicken (I ordered this with Ranch dressing. Fresh everything and juicy tender chicken made for a healthy, delicious lunch) = $14.00 Excellent service by Joni. Close to Highway 385 headed towards Andrews. Highly recommend for a healthier, light lunch.

Rusty Spur Cafe - My mind cannot reconcile what people do when they use the restroom. It makes me wonder about the sanitation... I'm perplexed.

Alright, so here it goes. As new residents of the area, my husband and I decided to pop in here…read morebecause, for whatever reason, their waffles with vanilla pudding appealed to me as a "cheat meal." The waffle came with bacon, sausage, or ham, but dietary restrictions/religious reasons (whatever you want to say) I asked for eggs. Now, I'll get back to that. My husband ordered the chilaquiles and, the same goes, opted for eggs. His dish was pretty dang tasty. It had quite a bit of heat, so I tapped out after one bite but not bad at all. My waffles were amazing, and the vanilla pudding was delectable. My husband warned me to do the half order, but I didn't listen, and trust me, I regretted it because the portions are HUGE. Now, our meals should have been $9.50 a piece. We knew upfront about their credit card processing fee of $2.50, so no problem. What kills us about the tab was the offer of a substitution for the bacon, sausage or ham was an upcharge of $5.00 ($2.50 for my husband's meal and $2.50 for mine); however, it was not disclosed to us. There are two things that boggle my mind with this... ONE: I find it interesting we are being upcharged for the eggs when the eggs are cheaper than the meat. TWO: Being a devout religious community, I find it interesting that there isn't an option for an alternative when it comes to pork. It goes to show you that at the end of the day, devout or not, if there is money to be made... religious conviction is out the door. Also, I found it really strange that you cannot flush toilet paper. Being from California, I found this odd, and it really posed so many questions, but I figured I probably shouldn't go down that rabbit hole. Oh, and our waitress was Nancy. She was very friendly and her service was good.

Seriously the BEST place I have been to in Texas. They truly deserve their "Authentic Mexican Food"…read moresign out front. The restaurant is decorated nicely with Mexico's infamous bright colors. The waitress was absolutely amazing. She answered our questions and even gave suggestions. Rice and Beans: its difficult to find a GOOD place here in Texas with retried beans that don't taste like they're coming from a pre-made can/bag. They had a nice consistency and booming with flavor. The rice was incredible! Most places fail with the rice because they're over salted, mushy, or undercooked. T.J.'s rice was fluffy and nice orange color. Truly authentic Mexicano rice. I had the asada tacos which were really good. The meat wasn't tough to chew. The only thing I didn't like was the fact the tacos weren't individually put on the plate. They laid out four of the double stacked tortillas almost like a deck of cards and poured the meat across. I had to basically prepare the tacos myself. They also had a lot of grilled onions, but next time (if I'm ever in this part of Texas again) I know to ask for easy onion. The only thing they could work on is their tamales. The masa tasted almost sweet, too sweet for a meat filled tamale. Overall: Highly recommend! Service: A+ Food Quality: A Ambiance: A+

They were more concerned with us paying than getting him the an epi pen in the car.

*** fast casual Southern inspired cuisine ***…read more Southern Rose Cafe is one of those cafes I drove by probably thousands of times and never stopped. It's on Main St which eventually becomes the Andrews Hwy in Seminole, TX. I opted for the daily special on December 11, 2024. It was chicken dumplings soup ($7.58 paid with a card). A hospitable young lady took my takeout order and apologized that they didn't have any crackers after all. Then she offered me a roll. I politely accepted. She brought me back two in a styrofoam container! While the dumplings were the unperfect small doughy lumps I wanted, the chicken was a very dim presence of only a few shreds. There were pieces of carrots, celery, and an odd addition of a slice of cucumber. At least I don't remember adding cucumber to my dumplings... Looks like a nice place for a family meal. They seem to accommodate large groups fairly easily. The parking lot is a disaster. Case in point: It's mostly gravel. No lines or clear designated spots. So I parked behind a row of cars. By the time I got out another frickin' car parked behind me! I was cussing and mumbling as I approached. A guy who was headed into the cafe started to help guide me, but then he saw how easy it was to maneuver my Jeep out of tight spaces. He may have heard me still cussing as I was backing out avoiding the four cars surrounding me. Lol. It was both aggravating and hilarious. TIP Drive-thru available.
