If you are looking for, somewhat, authentic tacos in the Annapolis area, this is the closest you'll get. The food I would give four stars but add the service, amid COVID-19 paranoia, and it gets three stars. I ordered three tacos and a coke. Total came out to $10.60. Not bad. The problem for me was I ordered tacos with no onions, I told her twice. When I was getting ready to eat my food it had onions. *bummer*. What sucks is I checked for how many limes they provided me with before leaving and I did not pay attention at that very moment that My tacos had onions. Of course, I asked for extra limes because they gave me one slice of a lime for all three of my tacos. She gave me an additional two slices. When I first arrived, it was empty, I was the only one ordering, no one came to the window. It was until the lady cleaning the table that's behind the truck (she was really nice), got the lady inside the truck to help me. I am short so I didn't realize the menu was on the truck counter. She then points and says "menu is right there." She didn't have a mask on, strike one. Lady who charged me didn't have gloves or a mask on, strike two. I was asked if I wanted my receipt sent to my phone, so I was like yes! That's genius, until she handed me her phone to type my number. That was strike three and a shame on ME for typing my number on the phone device when I had no gloves and she didn't either. ‍ I put hand sanitizer on as soon as I got in my car and washed my hands when I got to my office. This is the third time I eat out, which really consists of me picking up food and eating it at home or in this instance, my car, away from people, since March because of COVID-19 and how paranoid I am. Just a reminder to those restaurants, that we want to support you, we want to buy your food but when you don't display a safe environment, it breaks my heart. What was also a little annoying was that that also disregarded a Yelp check-in offer that was available for a BYGO free elote, as one of the staff members totally dismissed it. What a delicious feast we were treated to by El Nene . My sister had El Nene cater for our Easter gathering and it was delicious ! I highly recommend it! The fajita plate is so good. The steak was flavorful and tender. The onions and peppers were perfectly cooked, and the sides were simple and good. The service was quick, but not rushed. It's also nice that it's a food truck with a little outdoor seating. I would definitely visit again. Next time, I'll try the tacos carnitas. read more

The food was good until I started noticing the poor hygiene and poor level of respect for the clients. The lady that is ALWAYS there closed the window after taking my order with her blue gloves and the started preparing my order with the same blue gloves. I went to my car to wait came back 8 minutes later and saw she had removed her masked underneath her chin when she opened the window she put the mask back on and had on the same blue gloves I can tell they were the same because of the red stain it has on the glove she took my my money with the same gloves and also prepared my food.
