My tacos way too much cilantro.
    Tim T.

10.17.23 Stopped in to try this food truck out, first I though it was the same Mexican food truck that use to be at the bank at the traffic light just before Rt 50. I ate there a while back and now there gone when I saw this truck and the pick-nick tables I though I found it but I was wrong. It was taco Tuesday so all tacos were $2 I ordered the el pastor, chicken, shredded beef and there was another one but don't know what it was and a order of rice it was $11. I opened the box and it looked really good, I tried the chicken one first. Each taco had 2 soft shells and then they are filled very generously but have way to much cilantro. I like the onion but the cilantro over takes the flavors, th e chicken was extremely dried out from being over cooked. They do give you 2 sauces one red and one kind of green both were a little to hot for me. I tried the el pastor the pork was also a little over cooked but fortunately it had some pineapple in it so it gave it a little moisture and again way to much cilantro. I did finish this one I tried the shredded beef but for some reason I just didn't care for it at all, it had a lot of fat in the beef all of the soft shells fell apart on me while eating them. Very disappointing wish they had of been flour shells they may have stood up better. The rice I only took a few bites of it had a strange smell to it don't quit know what it was. Overall very disappointed with my tacos don't think I'll be back if I do it want be for a taco.

    Birria tacos

Oh, My Goodness....... I have been researching taco shops that serve Birria style tacos for several weeks in and around Annapolis. I found only one place that serves these style of Jalisco tacos and it is at this "hole in the wall" or should I say a food truck in a parking spot at the Sunoco gas station called Taqueria el primo. So those like me that may have never heard of Birria tacos this dish is a meat stew traditionally made from goat meat but occasionally made from beef or mutton. The dish is often served on celebratory occasions. Preparation techniques vary, but the dish is often served with corn tortillas, onion, cilantro, and lime. The meat is marinated in an adobo made of vinegar, dried chiles, herbs, and spices before being cooked in a broth. Then it is served with a side of the cooked broth for dipping. It is amazing!!!!! I picked today; the wettest day we have had to go get these Domingo's de birria (they only serve these beauties on Sunday). I tried my best to order in English then just had to describe what I wanted. I ordered three of these tacos for $10.00. They came out super-hot and flavorful, the tortilla shells are semi fried like a crunchy hard-shelled taco, the cheese, onion, cilantro, and most important the extra tender stew meat was spot on. I dipped each taco in the broth, and I don't think I took a breath while enjoying these tacos. The meat was so tender and for me tasted like mom's tender Sunday brisket. Man, it is awesome. I usually observe Taco Tuesday, but I think I will have to start a new Sunday tradition, I think will call it Super Sunday. Oh yeah, I give this food truck the max stars of 5 because their food is the best.

Such a good taco place. Service- super nice. they asked if I wanted American tacos or Mexican tacos when I ordered my tacos which I thought was a little funny but good to know they have options. Pollo Tacos- really good. So much flavor and the chicken was super tender. Flan- so creamy and smooth. I had been craving flan for awhile and this definitely did the job. Definitely coming back to try their other tacos!!

Tacos Dorados + rice & beans. Rolled, fried chicken taquitos are delicious!

Hands down the best food truck in Annapolis. The tacos were authentic and delicious. Don't let the gas station parking scare you off .

I eat a lot of Mexican food and this is easily the best I've tasted for Miles around. Birria enchiladas were off the hook. And the salsa there is fantastic! Just a couple more notes about pricing though, because I think it's worthwhile to mention: there is no lunch menu. Most Mexican joints have a lunch menu, with smaller sizes and lower prices. not here. The portions are very generous so be prepared to get a dinner menu and to-go box. And I ordered a draft Mexican beer and got a 24 ounce glass for nine dollars. I think this is another attempt to raise your check. Most places will give you the option of a 16 or 24 ounce. Yes these are nitpicks, but I'm not complaining because the food is so freaking good.

She always says she feels like she's eating healthy food because everything is so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Our server, Fernando, set us up with separate checks. Several of us enjoyed margaritas. Everyone thought the food was amazing. I had the Ensalada Sin Fronteras with chicken. We started with chips and salsa, and they were excellent. The salsa wasn't overly spicy, just full of great flavor, and the chips were fresh and crisp--definitely a strong start to the meal. My wife ordered the chicken chimichanga. It was quite different from what we usually get at the Mexican spots we frequent--it was one large chimichanga served with a small salad, whereas we're used to getting two smaller ones with rice and beans, which we usually share. Still, it was tasty and satisfying in its own unique way. I ordered the Chicharrón en Salsa Verde--crispy pork and onions in a green tomato sauce, topped with cilantro and served with rice and warm flour tortillas. It had great flavor and the pork had a nice texture--crisp but not dry. Our friends ordered a variety of dishes, including: Chile en Nogada - a stuffed poblano pepper with seasoned ground beef, covered in a chilled almond and walnut nogada sauce, topped with pomegranate seeds and served with rice. It was rich, colorful, and very flavorful. A beautiful dish with red and yellow sauces and a white cream swirl--unfortunately I can't recall the name, but it was as good as it looked. Six tacos with assorted meats--each one was fantastic. The flavors were bold and fresh. To drink, most of us had margaritas, and you could tell they use fresh ingredients--these were excellent and not overly sweet like some places serve them. Service was top-notch from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The only disappointing part of the evening came at the end, when we learned that the restaurant will be closing in about a month. The building is being torn down, possibly for high-rise condos. The staff doesn't know if or where they'll reopen. It's a real shame, especially in an area that's already struggling with traffic and congestion. More homes, fewer gems like this. I just wish we had discovered Sin Fronteras Café sooner. Hopefully they find a new home nearby, and we'll definitely try to come back before they close for good.

My girlfriend and I were staying for a night at the Gibson's Inn just a block away and so we stumbled upon this place just from walking around. Glad we came here for dinner. Excellent little corner restaurant and cocktail bar. There was live music in the corner while we were there, dim lighting, nice decor, friendly service, and the pièce de résistance: a phenomenal meal. My girlfriend had the blackened mahi burger, and I had the steak burrito, stuffed to capacity, drenched in red sauce and crema, exquisitely prepared and presented. Washed down with a local IPA.
