My son has been asking for a cowboy hat for what seems years. The only place that I could think of to get one would be on 18th street but that is no where near home. To my surprise, I finally found one closer to O'Hare or in this case Chicago Municipal Airport. In the way back of Palwaukee Plaza on Milwaukee Avenue there is a small but full store dedicated to Western wear, Mexican Western wear. They had shirts, jackets, jeans, boots, hats, belts and buckles in adult men and children sizes. I found alligator, ostrich, snake, and various other styles of boots and belts but the reason for our visit was to find a hat. My son picked out a cute off-white one for $15. While browsing through the shirts I found child size Mariachi outfits. I was so tempted to buy a couple but I have no idea where the kids would wear them. I know I'll be going back later with my daughter. Once she finds out they have pink belts they'll be no living with her until she gets one. read more
