On the front I can always find the Weekly Achiever, which is a prominent figure in Miami that is doing something to make our city a better place. It can be anyone, from a doctor, to a lawyer, to a basket ball player. The FYI Miami section, also on the front, is neat because it has really important info in easy to read tid bits. Through out the publication (which is a small, little newspaper-like thing) there are great articles on local politics and government, important figures in the community, and there's even an event section that has all kind of events for adults and children. And there's even a mini Classified section on the back page. Oh and how could I forget the small box that includes all Filming Permits that have been issued that week (and to who!), which is fun to know. :) I think this is a pretty unbiased, tell-it-like it is newspaper, and I really enjoy reading it. Definitely one of the better local papers that I've seen around the country, with some sexy ads inside too, and in some way reminds me of the LA Weekly and I like it on most levels.

I would check your pages religiously, go online for updates, etc. And while now I rely on Yelp for the day to day, I still have you to keep me informed. You always have up to date info on the newest and hottest venues, restaurants, and nightclubs. Your articles are riveting, covering all aspects of Miami life, from local politics to nightlife, from plastic surgery scammers to neighborhood improvements/renovations. You make sure to put it all out there for the public to see, no holds barred. I appreciate and admire your gutsiness in providing these unbiased articles. And your annual Best of New Times issue is a bible amongst the locals. And your online daily columns Riptide 2.0 and CrossFade are some of my favorite daily quick reads. :) Thanks New Times! I checked out their website and they seem quite active. I didn't even know about their existence, this for living a few years living on the other side of The Roads, one block for calle ocho (until I moved 2 months ago to The Roads on the boarder with Brickell). The staff was very friendly and this newspaper is a must read. Check out their website! And they also do advertising for local businesses!
