I'm getting together tonight with first-grade friends I've known for 60 years. I thought I'd look nice for pictures. I didn't want to drive back to Marin to see the fellow who's been cutting my hair for 20 years. Planned my day around getting a cut. Went to the bank to get cash for a tip. Arrived at the shop at 2:45. He wasn't in. The open sign was on. No note on the door. Scrolled my phone for 45 minutes in the shade in 92 degree heat under the awning. Finally, I left at 3:30. Had I known, I would have spent the 45 minutes waiting and just driven to San Anselmo and gotten a cut. So, stuff happens. That's why I'm not going to ding him but he wasn't friendly and wasted my time. I moved here two years ago and my search for a local barber goes on. Obviously, I can't comment on the quality of his work. The whole vibe just seemed suspicious.
