Every so often, the kids perform a routine that parents are allowed to sit in and watch. I think this is a good course for new dancers. The instructors are well prepared and enjoy teaching the kids. I had just had life saving surgery a few months prior and finally had gotten clearance from my doctor to start exercising. I didn't have a routine and was looking for something that I would enjoy and get me off the couch for a bit. I was also suffering from a massive hernia but didn't know it. I thought it was just my belly and swelling from my surgery. I messaged Michelle and she had me come in. We talked, caught up, and also met Antwoine. We danced right away and we both knew it was going to be great. They are both amazing people, they care for their students and are supportive. I have had two more surgeries since I started dancing and about to go for my third due to my hernia. They will let you know if they feel your health is being effected but they will also push you on your limits. I've learned so much about myself in the past year since I started dancing and I've improved. They're also open for ideas for routines and they are so creative that they run with it.

The next day i tried to register her online but the link wouldn't pull up so I went a little early to register her. It was 9:55 so it was still early. Everything was closed! Lights off, no one inside. The gym opens at 10. I waited outside the front door to see if anyone would walk in and called 3 times to see if anyone would answer. No one ever came in nor did anyone answer the phone. A complete waste of driving 30 mins to this place to have to sit in the parking lot for 15 mins then have to drive back home.

To date, I have seen Phantom of the Opera, Waitress, and Hairspray. I actually also missed out on an opportunity to see the hilarious Jo Koy who did his stint here as well but heard nothing but good things! I'm thrilled that El Paso can have these Off Broadway shows so that everyone can experience the beauty of theater art and see how much talent a group of people can put a show together and wow a crowd of all ages. A lot of people don't seem to realize just how crowded a theater can get and I've literally seen people leave because of that reason. It's unfortunate because it often happens when the show has already started and people on stage very much see every movement of the audience. Although it puts a slight hamper on the theater experience for myself, the shows are beyond magical and captivating to forget all about that inconvenience thankfully. I also have never bought season tickets for anything in my life but in order to get the optimal seats I wanted AND make sure it can be for Hamilton (only the best musical to date), I had to get season tickets. For Orchestra row S, I was very happy to pay $1000 for 6 shows. Thank you La Plaza Theater for bringing more life to El Paso!

They beverages are served in these very cool souvenir cups with a snap lid to prevent spills as you make your way back to your seat- and the bartenders can make a gooood drink! I take Uber or Lyft when I come so I don't have to deal with traffic and parking. There are two major restaurants right in the vicinity for pre show dinner or post show drinks and dessert. Folks take advantage- this venue would be $$$$ in NY!

The Westside Natatorium is accessible to the public and they offer public lap reservations, host competitions, team training, and they even help kiddos how to swim. The facility is setup with separate entries for spectator viewing and there are dedicated spectator bathrooms and locker room for those who are swimming. What really stood out to me is how they have an upper deck for spectators and there are plenty of rows for friends and family to watch. If you are interested in getting a swim workout in there are two ways to go about it. You can make a reservation ahead of time for a one hour session or you can roll the dice and simply walk-in. I have yet to make a reservation because the lanes are so large that it's pretty easy to grab a lane. Each lane is able to hold up to four swimmers. I've lucked out and have only had to share at most a lane with one other swimmer. Now when it comes to pricing you can pay for a swim session at a time, at the price of .... wait for it ... it's quite unbelievable ... for three dollars! You can also get unlimited swim for thirty days for only $30.

Gun shows, parties, the most recent "Pop Goes the Fort" 4th of July celebration. It's quite popular for large events do to its size etc. I like it. Straight down Sgt Maj, directly across from USASMA (the academy). If you're coming from east bliss and you hit the Biggs shoppette at the Luke intersection... You went about a block to far. Coming from main post or otherwise, Sgt Maj road opened up to 3 lanes... You went a tad to far. Check ft bliss mwr FB page for upcoming events held here at the park. The kiddie pool is great, shaded and has a few little things for the kids. Apparently they do special events for adults too. There isn't a lot of shade, unless you purchase the cabanas for like $100. They also charge a $20 cooler fee. Lots of parking, you can spend a few hours here.

Well supposly if you go in the swimmer area and then go into the kids area it's bad cause of the wate which obviously is weird so my mom decided to go talk to the manager and no she is not a karen or whatever for talking to the manager she had an reason to talk to him and she came back and said that he said it got to crowded in the kids area and the swimmer area which was totally different from what the lifeguards said which is crazy that they just lied to our faces and honestly the swimmer area and kid area was NOT crowded at all only one lane in the swimmer area was being used by a younger kid like younger than my sister and we even saw her go on the pool with the slide and she didn't get in trouble but we did? made no sense and it was just very weird and the manager was very petty to my mom which is not correct to do and the lifeguards lied straight to our face and even if it was true and that something with the pool water, fix it! it's not our problem you can't fix your own pool that has been up for a while and no wonder because the water looks bubbly which is not because of the water splasing onto each other it's gross water and the stairs up to the slide are disgustin as well, like hire a cleaner if you can because i do not wanna be stepping on that. Over all this pool sucks no offense, it's gross and all the above and the manager, Eric or Erick, please be better manger and stop being so petty you are aleast 40 or older to be acting like this like if your pool is causing this annoyance to you, you should even own a pool or work at it. It's also an excellent way to skip the traffic when traveling from New Mexico to El Paso (and probably visa versa but can't confidently confirm that part). I was leaving New Mexico after having a wonderful dinner and saw that there was a ton of traffic getting back to El Paso on my GPS. It suggested an alternate route; Trans Mountain Road. Normally, I'd probably just sit in traffic when I'm in an unfamiliar place. I'm from the Bay Area (California), and I am no stranger to horrible traffic. But who the hell wants to sit in traffic while they're on vacation?! I already deal with that 5 days out of the week, so spare me. It was still daylight so I decided to do it. I've driven on many windy roads, but I'll admit that this one was kind of nerve racking. Mostly because some of you Texans just don't know how to drive (sorry, not sorry). But once I got to the top of the hill and those views started to appear, it became enjoyable. I saw a vista point with a few cars parked in the distance and immediately pulled off to park there. Yep, this was it. I hit the jackpot. The pictures of the vista point doesn't do it justice. The views are outstanding! Panoramic beauty and lots of it. There's even a cute little lookout point and some picnic tables up there. It was windy as hell though, so not sure if I'd sit out there and eat something for fear of being blown over. Maybe in the summer when the weather is warmer and the winds are milder, but still. Fantastic city views of El Paso and some nice views of the New Mexican desert hills. This is definitely a hidden chill spot. I can only imagine how gorgeous the sunrises and sunsets are, but I'm sure it's even gnarlier to drive this road when it's dark. In any event, it's a lovely vista with an adventurous drive and a nice escape from traffic.
