Pesto Pasta
Danielle B.

This a great causal restaurants serving a variety of pasta, burgers, pizzas and more all for a reasonable price. My husband and I tried the Pesto Pasta with added Sundried Tomatoes and the El Caliente Pizza with chicken added. The pasta was easily my favourite -- it was drowning in creamy sauce, topped with juicy tomatoes, parsley and lots of shaved cheese. Be warned -- it's piping hot. The pizza was tasty as well, but not as memorable. It's a thin crust and was flavoured with goat cheese, tomato sauce, honey and pepper flakes. The only thing I found the food was missing was a sweet factor, which we added honey to satisfy that craving. And perhaps a bit more spice, but that's a personal preference. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!

Carbonara

Great pasta for takeout. Loved all the flavors and the quality. The carbonara was sooo good!

I went to the Laval location The only reason I'm giving a one star review for this place is because of the service. The guy at the cash was really nice and I got my order pretty quick. We got the carbonara and the pesto pastas and both of them were disgusting, this is not an Italian pasta place. The carbonara had a weird flavor to it, I'm not really sure if it was the bacon or the sun-dried tomatoes....the pesto pasta didn't even taste like pesto. The portions were big, but I will never return to this place, also both of us got sick as soon as we are these. The worst pasta I've ever had

I didn't deal with them personally, my colleague did, but she said the whole process was smooth and…read morefriendly and professional. We ordered for about 30 people 2 choices of mains for a work Christmas Party, I'm fairly certain my colleague was in contact with them over a month before our event. Price approx 25-35$ per person for: 1x bouchees, a salad, a main with side, a dessert and bread and butter (very decent pricing for the quality). Food options were weird as hell imo, Tofu General Tao or Rhubarb Apple Chicken. I reluctantly and skeptically chose the Rhubarb Apple Chicken, (cuz I generally avoid the vegetarian option like a disease), but the execution was actually delicious! I was terrified it would be like some nasty swanson microwave meal but it was actually very pleasing to the tastebuds! The chicken was tender and not overcooked, the rhubarb apple sauce was more like a gravy than an applesauce (like I was dreading) and the monte carlo potato it came with was very good and not dry. The mushroom bouchée was delicious, perfect texture and flavour. The salad tasty, but much like a fancy coleslaw. The bread fresh, moist and soft, not tough or chewy. I didn't try the dessert but it looked good, maybe some kinda chocolate cake/brownie. Portions were decent for the price and quality (not too little not too much). The one thing I didn't like was that my colleague who set it up felt the need to stay by the serving table all night to explain the dishes and what main went with what side. I didn't ask her why she did that because I needed her help to know which dishes I was supposed to take, so I'm assuming the others did too. It would have been better if they had some sort of system with labels +/or custom containers, maybe, so that it would be more self explanatory or even a catering staff that actually does that part? Maybe that's an option at a higher price? I duno, I feel like my colleague didn't get to just relax and enjoy our Christmas Party and that made me sad. Only reason for 4 stars. I would surprisingly be willing to order catering from Zeste again. For how much I was seriously dreading it and already fathoming a negative review in my mind before trying it, that should really be telling you a lot. Go ahead and have these guys cater for you, I'm pretty sure you'll be impressed too.

I was incredibly impressed-- I could not have asked for a more professional, organized, efficient and detail oriented team. Jocelyn, the head manager, met with me to see the location and figure out how to arrange tables and chairs, both for the food prep, catering as well as guest seating. He and his crew arrived early the day of the reception to set everything up. Their work was impeccable. The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, the servers were amiable from start to finish. They even helped clean up at the end of the night, packing leftovers and covering them with plastic wrap that they had brought just in case. I received innumerable compliments from my guests on everything from the tasty hors d'oeuvres to the serving staff's cheerful disposition. I would absolutely recommend this catering company to anyone, my experience with them was fantastic. They were just phenomenal!!!

I heard about KITCHEN 59 from a friend and decided to get catering from them for a large new years…read moreparty that I was hosting for a group of colleagues. Needless to say I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the service that I received. We ordered a variety of Lebanese food from Meat Kebbeh, Yogurt with Cucumber, to Hummus. Everything was fresh and my colleagues ended up eating seconds and thirds. If you are catering for a large group, I recommend ordering a variety of foods as they taste even better when paired together. My personal favourite (as funny as it may sound) was the garlic dip. Wow was it amazing - compared to some of the other Middle Eastern restaurants that I always go to this dip blew them out of the water. Everything was extremely reasonably priced and I was able to save my wallet when it was anticipating a rough Christmas and New Years season! The delivery was insanely prompt, I ended up receiving all the dishes right before the party started. Keep in mind this was during a snow storm when even pizza delivery companies were fretting about their on-time guarantee. Overall if you are looking for a good and reasonably priced caterer to offer some delicious Lebanese food for your event, definitely give Kitchen 59 a try.

You can trust this company for quality, great service, and pricing…read more This is a catering service that prepare a good selection of Canadian and Middle Eastern inspired hot meals by the kilo. They are served in aluminum pans. The ordering process is easy, but, you have to do your own homework first: How many people do you intend to serve, adults vs children vs big eaters vs those with small appetites vs diet limitations etc... and then figure out how much food in each category you need by the kilo. 1) Go through menu online 2) Email or call to place order with your food choices, pickup date and time (don't worry, the phone number is legit lol since it has a non-Montreal area code; they cater long distance events too e.g. Ottawa) 3) Pay by email transfer - don't bother with a scientific "secret" question and answer as this vendor is setup to receive direct payment bypassing security questions - you can trust them! 4) Show up at the pickup location at the date and time agreed on. (Pickup: 2001 Des Sources Blvd - Pointe Claire H9R5Z4 - Loading dock Black door # 1 Near the ramp, as at Oct 20, 2018). We ordered chicken and rice, kafta and potatoes, spinach and cheese cannelloni, meat lasagna, vegetables cous cous with no chicken - served on time, and piping hot, and securely wrapped and boxed (a great job if I may so!). The flavours were wonderful and the convenience of having food prepared for you is such a convenience when hosting an event! The representative (owner?) Antoine was such a pleasure to speak with - by phone or email, he was so patient to walk me through the process A - Z and was always readily available to answer questions. Give them a try at your next event!

I've been grabbing cakes from here for a while and they're always a hit!…read more The cakes are nice and moist without being too sweet, though the buttercream can be a bit much for some. I've also tried most of the pastries and they're just as good as the cakes. My favorite is the coffee éclair, it's light, airy and sweet. Honestly, I like it more than the classic éclair. The coffee flavor just takes it up a notch. The icing on top can be a little sweet on its own, but it balances out well with the whole éclair. I always grab one or two when I'm in the area. The lemon raspberry cake is another favorite. It's light with just a hint of tartness, and the poppy seeds in the cake are a nice touch. The zeppoles are perfectly light, not greasy, and just sweet enough. I've also had the vanilla and caramel cake, and it's super soft and moist. The buttercream is on the sweeter side, but it goes really well with the cake. Black forest cake is lightly sweetened and I feel like I can eat a huge slice without it being overwhelming. Overall, this bakery is awesome, with a ton of variety. They've got baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and more. Definitely worth checking out!
