When in Rocky Point, we will only be going to one place for mariscos at the Malecon from now on... "El Pelicano Jose/Jose's Fish Market". This place is incredible!!! We were seriously impressed with the delicious food we were served at this small yet, superb hole in the wall place. Go straight into the main parking at El Malecon, go past the #basic and overrated Flavio's, and you will start to see all the little souvenir joints and hole in the wall fish dealers on the right. The second or third one of these joints will be Jose's Fish Market. Beware all the people trying to solicit your business and get you to come eat with them. Say no and find this place. It is definitely worth it. Trust me... Pretty much everyone here will have fresh seafood for sale and many of them are combination restaurants but, these guys just really bent over backwards for us. The two young guys that served us were excellent and very friendly. Seems like they were part of the family business. They let us pick our own fresh fish and prepared it on the spot. Instead of ordering off the menu, they let you buy a pound of shrimp and it gets prepared fresh made to order. Plenty other non seafood options. All delicious. Very reasonably priced considering the huge portions you get. All seafood offered up was from the catch of the day. Can not begin to describe the delicious fresh taste of the fish, shrimp, and ceviche. Seems like they cant go wrong having such fresh resources to cook with however, you can really tell the chef's finesse. This was made evident with the cleanliness of the meal and the presentation. Nice extras such as sauces for the shrimp, excellent taste to the rice and fries, and fresh veggies were used. Add in the seaside tables for dinning and the fresh hand squeezed lemonade and let me tell you... you got yourself a winner. Finally, we bought shrimp to bring home across the border and Jose gave us a really good price. He even threw in a portable cooler with ice to transport the precious cargo and cleaned the shrimp up at no extra charge. We are completely satisfied and are eager to return next year. If you are in Rocky Point DO NOT go anywhere else!!! Trust me ;)

Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. We wanted to try this place when we were here in Oct, but I…read morepicked Wednesday to try it & they are closed on Wednesday. We are so glad we got to try it. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

I have Carlos V shrimp, something new for me. Such generous portions, you'll leave her 10lbs heavier. Allegedly they have dessert but too full to try. This place is really small, so if there's a big party you're SOL. We never leave PP without eating here, we love it so much
