I've heard a lot about this restaurant from friends for the last two years. When family friends from the US came to town and said it was their treat, this was the first place I wanted to go.
The decor is super cute, and the tables are far enough apart we didn't feel claustrophobic. The music is also at a pleasant volume so we didn't have to shout to be heard (a big deal when with an elderly couple).
As they'd already eaten a light dinner early, we decided just to order a round of shared plates and then dessert.
The berenjenas were my favorite and I'd go back again just to have more.
The stuffed mushrooms and risotto de boletus were also excellent.
The croquetas de cocido were fine, nothing spectacular.
THE DESSERT truly lived up to the galleta name. We shared the hot cookie and the brownie with cheesecake. The cookie was to die for but both were incredible and worth a post-dinner outing on their own.
As for service, I speak Spanish but my partners did not. Our waiter was very patient with our table and their efforts to use the little Spanish they did know. A+ read more
