After an entire Saturday of dense course material, I didn't have it in me to explore the night life Miami has to offer. I found this place & it was the perfect vibe - super laid back. Music selection was decent when it was on a playlist (I think). There was a guy intermittently playing live music - he wasn't great & was way too loud, but I just put on my airpods and turned on the noise cancellation feature, which toned it down enough for me to enjoy the rest of the environment. Alex was the one who took care of me & picked out a flight of sours, that were all delicious. The dole pineapple one was probably my favorite in the flight; strawberry smoothie tasted great but the texture kinda threw me off (it was thick... like a smoothie lol). She recommended the chorizo and hot honey pizza - also great, especially when it was hot out of the oven. I probably shouldn't have tried to eat the entire thing on my own, but I did anyway. I'd come regularly if I lived in town :)

I had a glass of wine and it was the smallest and cheapest glass I've been served... my bf had the pineapple flavored beer and tbh it's way too sweet. If you're looking for a quality beer I don't recommend this place.

Very proper, very well spoken. Business talking personality. Trying to take care of us and deliver on our as to put add-ON on our food. Brother Chris said something along the lines of ,"my friend I was absolutely love to but I'm in a place where my dad the gm Joe, doesn't want accommodating to every ad-ON because he believes it puts more stress on cooks." Something along those lines. And I was like what? The manager of the place Joe can't tell him cooks to stop being lazy? Cmon man. I have worked in a kitchen a long time before real estate here in Miami, and man, what type of manager of a food place is this. The service from Chris was better than the food cooks made anyway..... Won't be coming here again. Sad to see good people like this young man hustling for a business that doesn't even align with little customer accommodations . Don't suggest.

So I was eating with my husband and my two friends the other and my server Chris was taking care of us. So attentive literally every table loving him and wanting to order things with him. And Chris so polite goes "Ma'am nothing would make me happier than to accommodate to every little specification or add on you would like, but I'm in a tough spot because my father Joe and Suzy who is the General Manager is telling me that I should say no to every single guest that wants an additional specification on their meal because it makes the kitchen upset that they have to put more effort.

If you are looking for the ultimate vineyard dining experience, do yourself a favor and book a…read moretable at Mellow Grapes immediately. From the second you pull up the driveway, you are greeted by rolling rows of vines and an atmosphere that instantly makes you drop your shoulders and relax. It completely lives up to its name--the vibe is effortlessly mellow, sophisticated, and incredibly welcoming. Here is why this place has officially become my absolute favorite spot: 1. The Wine & Food Pairings are Masterful The culinary team here clearly works hand-in-hand with the winemakers, because the pairings are flawless. We started with a crisp, beautifully balanced white blend paired with an artisanal charcuterie board featuring locally sourced cheeses and a phenomenal house-made fig jam. For the main course, the slow-braised short rib literally melted off the bone, and when paired with their estate estate Syrah, it was pure magic. Every bite was an absolute home run. 2. Breathtaking Atmosphere & Ambiance The design of the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between rustic vineyard charm and modern elegance. We sat out on the covered patio, which offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the vineyard. As the sun began to set, they lit the fire pits and turned on string lights, creating an incredibly romantic, warm glow across the entire space. It's the kind of environment where you just want to linger for hours over dessert and another bottle. 3. World-Class Hospitality What truly elevates Mellow Grapes is the service. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable without an ounce of pretentiousness. They walked us through the tasting notes of each wine, shared the history of the vineyard, and gave us brilliant recommendations based on our personal palates. The pace of the meal was perfect--we never felt rushed, yet we were perfectly looked after the entire evening. The Verdict Mellow Grapes is an absolute gem. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, planning a perfect date night, or just want to treat yourself to an exquisite meal and fantastic wine, this place delivers on every front. The passion behind the food, the wine, and the hospitality is evident in every single detail. I'm already counting down the days until my next visit. Cheers to the team for creating such a spectacular experience!

It has great food with large portions and reasonably priced. The service is always friendly and available. Often I walk in and just find a seat and right away I have someone bring me a menu and take our drink orders. Most of the time we come here for their grilled wings because they are amazing. I think that their waffle fries are better than their regular fries because they are crunchy and their onion rings are cooked perfect. Their beers are always cold and served in an ice cold glass and they have a lot to offer on draft. Everything comes out quickly and always with the perfect temperature. This is a strip mall and parking is always easy. This is a great place for families and to meetup with friends. Of all the pizza places in Miami, this one is the closest to my house. It would really have been a…read morehome run if it was my favorite, but sadly it did not make it. Not that the pizza isn't good; it just isn't great. And it is not because of the ingredients as they all tasted fresh and delicious. It is the preparation. Now let me set some foundation here. I have lived in Rhode Island where pizza is a staple. I have lived in New York and Connecticut, which, despite being neighboring states have entirely different ideas of what the perfect pizza is, and I had the good fortune of the best of both. I have lived in Massachusetts we're outside of the north end of Boston pizza is largely very mediocre and I give all this information just to tell you that I have an established standard for pizza that may differ from other peoples. My favorites come out of coal fired brick ovens. So I was pretty excited about trying Strange Beast. They use a gas fired pizza oven that reaches the same temperatures as the ones to make apizza but they make a Neapolitan pie which traditionally has a soft center whereas Apizza is baked longer to achieve a sturdy, crispy crunch. And this is the part that disappoints me. That soft center does not hold the toppings well and makes the pizza droop when you pick it up. Much like the New York pizza that you have to fold over to keep the toppings from falling off, this pizza just did not have that firmness that I love so much. And on this evening when I ordered the Swamp Thing (Mozzarella, Ricotta, Red Onion, Cherry Tomatoes, Pesto) the center actually seemed raw. Somehow, despite having all my favorite flavors, it looked beautiful on the pan, but flopped over and lost its appeal when it was picked up the flavors all in all were pretty good. The restaurant itself has a pretty cool vibe and the servers were superb. In addition to grieving great service, they were friendly and engaging. This is kind of a highlight of the restaurant. This review is based on a single experience and I will probably try it again. I may ask them to cook the pizza well done to see if it comes closer to what I like. I can't give it my highest recommendation, but I would never give it less than four stars based on even the service alone. So I will be back again an update this sometime soon.
