Popped in here one Saturday afternoon to ask what time the next door espadrille shop opened post siesta.
The lady minding the shop was so nice...and they had this lone scrumptious looking postre that was winking at me (which I later found out was a blackberry mousse).
I was not disappointed as the mousse did not see the light of day again after I opened it's takeaway container. It was so airy and tasty and not too sweet (mousse, not takeaway container).
My only regret was not keeping it to myself -I was feeling good samaritanish and shared it with a companion. Boo.
I met the owner later on after espadrille shopping, she was hauling some paella for her other shop in town.
I liked the dessert so much that the next evening when I wasn't feeling much like going to a restaurant, I walked from the hotel to buy me some seafood paella. They are already prepacked from cooking earlier that day and it was delish for a little hole in the wall mom and pop type eat.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed the Paella too quite immensely. It's a pretty sizeable serving and 3 not so hungry women can share, or one hungry man could enjoy.
If you're by the Iglesia de Santa Catalina or Plaça Redonda and feeling famished, stop by. Food is super bueno + reasonably pricesd. And after 19:00 before closing, their food is half-price! Yay!!! read more
