Stumbled upon this amazing newly-opened restaurant while traveling through the beautiful Costa Brava region of Spain. Wade through all the touristy shops and overpriced restaurants in l'Estartit, to this hidden gem tucked just off the main drag. Great decor, (Doris, the owner, called it Chanel meets Almodovar) and incredible food.
I started with the "Amanida de formatge de cabra" which was an entre-sized salad topped with a huge chunk of broiled goat cheese and about 3 handfuls of pine nuts. Next I had the "Filet de vendella amb foie" which was an equally massive filet topped with a silky layer of savory foie gras. For dessert, (not that I had any room ), I split the "Carpaccio de pinya amb gelat de coco"--thin pineapple slices served alongside coconut gelato. I MADE ROOM.
I can't recommend this place enough! The best food I've had in Spain thus far! read more
