Best pupusas I've had in New Jersey! They make them fresh when you order. The wait might be a little long sometimes but 10/10 worth it.

The place was busy during my visit (always a good sign), but I was seated right away. Service was excellent friendly, attentive, and patient while explaining some of the dishes on the menu. I ordered four pupusas: cheese, loroco with cheese, chipilín with cheese, and jalapeño with cheese. The loroco pupusa was outstanding, the cheese pupusa was classic and tasty, and the jalapeño pupusa had a nice mild kick. Chipilín was new to me, and while not my favorite, it was great to try something authentic. To drink, I had a fresh cashew juice that was refreshing and perfectly balanced not too sweet. I ended my meal with a coffee that was simple but really good. The atmosphere is colorful and family friendly, with murals inside and out that make the space feel authentic and full of culture. Parking is small but manageable. There was soft music playing in the background. It was great. I could have a nice conversation with family and enjoy the moment. On Fridays after 7 PM. They have a life show so it might get loud. Just keep in mind. I'm definitely coming back to try their soups, I've heard great things.

I called for delivery and here the problems began. Beyond some slight hiccups with language barrier, the guy on the phone takes my order and tallies up the amount to over $10 of what I thought it would be. I go back tally up everything on my end and call back. Again he says that's the amount, actually $0.25 more this time. So I ask what gives? I ordered off the website. He replies "oh the prices have increased on some of the things." He tries to go through what has gone up, along the way Naming things that aren't even on my order. I have to correct him and get that straightened out. My main issues with this is of course, update your website to reflect price increases, and 2 I could've canceled the order but I didn't over this, you could throw me a dessert or something for my troubles? The food comes after another hiccup from the driver being a bit confused and passing the building. I don't get a receipt because I wanted to review what exactly costed what. The delivery lady won't let me keep the copy she has. So there's that. *Exhale* so the food... It was alright. Not the best of an authentic level place like this. The pupusas were good and would consider again but they didn't live up to the hype I thought they would. The Lomo de cerdo asado (pork loin) was waaaaay overdone and all dried up. Rice and beans were fine though as were the salads Included with the entrees. Chicharrones was ok as was the yuca frita. Then there was this red sauce that was packaged in a coffee cup and tasted like that $0.88 store brand pasta sauce. Very watery. Not good. Overall I wasn't really impressed by the service and food. Maybe dining in is the way to go here.
