I had a Christmas trip home for the Holidays planned with my husband and daughter & lost my father in Chicago before I could get home. I wanted to get professional pictures taken to capture our last trip to Chicago for the foreseeable future. I found her on Groupon, well in advance of our trip, had an amazing conversation with her over the phone...filled with offers & promises of doing some special things to memorialize my Dad, including HER suggesting going to two locations to shoot. She even convinced me not to purchase via Groupon and to pay her directly. I even texted her a screenshot of what I would be paying on Groupon and she agreed to honor that price (since I had a general $30 Groupon coupon) As it turns out, thank God I followed her advice or I'd be out a lot of money! Without getting into all the details, the bottom line was that THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SHOOT she refused to go to both places she suggested/we discussed repeatedly over the month before, or honor the price she agreed on...backing out the night before our Christmas Eve shoot!!! This had been planned since November so we found ourselves in Chicago during the Holidays without a photographer!! The whole experience was seriously unsettling as she acted as if we hadn't discussed anything... SHE had suggested going to two locations and then acted as if that was never discussed and then refused to go to two locations since we had a Groupon, even though she obviously knew that, and refused to honor the price she agreed on (per the screenshot I sent her from Groupon)!! Something's not right here... Steer clear!

Her bundle came with a birthday party shoot and that also turn into not so great session. As soon as concern was raised she started yelling/raising her voice during the event. It shocked me when she would not leave the event without payment nor wait till we address our guests. I would not recommend her for any bucks. She ruins the moment.

This was a real let-down because of how unnatural and poorly done it was. More so because the other two were fine. I let them know that the level retouching on that one photo disappointed me. I was hoping for some acknowledgement I'd paid almost $400 and wasn't satisfied, but they never even replied to the email.

Our little newborn Ella was 9 days old when I realized how important it was to photograph her in all the newborn goodness. I was always pretty judgemental about those "baby in a basket" sessions. You don't really get how unique that time in life is until you hold your own little child in your hands. I discovered you've got to photograph newborns within 14 days of their birth, otherwise it gets difficult for them to stay sleepy and stationary for a photo session. I had a minor meltdown trying to reach an incredible, well-known newborn photographer from Wisconsin. They did get a hold of me, but said I needed to come to Wisconsin with the baby for the session because of their busy schedule. They also recommended Patricia Anderson here in Chicago. I was elated to hear back from Patricia that evening. Patricia had a full schedule, but after **slightly** begging her, she fit me into her weekend schedule and we got Ella scheduled for a session at 11 days young. **AH** thank you thank you! Patricia is so easy to work with. She handles everything once you get to the studio. She took baby Ella and all we had to do was watch in amazement as the 1 hour mini session unfolded. Turn around was quick - we were able to see the photographs the same week. Man, did she deliver! And her print products are so fitting to her brand - you've got to get these photographs up on your wall! Seriously - it's the only way to go with artistic photographs that Patricia creates for you. The attendant had to set up twice because the cocktail hour and dinner were in two separate spaces. I spoke with Mitch, and he didn't have a problem with two set ups. They were very accommodating, punctual, and professional. The attendant was wearing a suit and tie - dressed for the wedding. They were relatively easily reachable via phone and email. All the guests at my wedding had an amazing time! They all said they had so much fun! The photo booth was such a BIG hit! Many of the creative people took advantage and made stories with their four photos. There was a line at the booth every time I looked over. There were plenty of props to choose from. Photo booths are a great way to entertain your guests. I also purchased a photo guest book. Where they can tape their strip in the book and write something nice or silly. One downside was there weren't enough pages in the book so a lot of people didn't get to write their share. So many of the strips were placed in the inside pocket of the book, which was fine. I still enjoyed all the silly pictures.
