I went to this lawyer regarding an estate I needed help with instead of agreeing to take money out…read moreof the estate she had me pay a consultation fee of $375 then pressed me for $2000 for a retainer..she said she had a few people not pay her and it was right before Christmas and she was strapped for cash...I told her I could put some of the money on a credit card...a few days before Christmas her secretary called and said she was too busy to represent me...so basically she pocketed my $375 for a consultation knowing she didn't have time to represent me...I asked to speak with her and her secretary said she was on vacation...supposedly...I waited then called back and she has refused to speak with me...she knew that was all the cash I had...if you are too busy to represent someone don't give them a consult and pocket their cash then refuse to speak with them...hopefully someone else won't make the same mistake I did by trusting her
